They used to. “Used to” being the operative phrase. In the past, I’ve received a nice leather tote, hats, t-shirt, a jacket, and assorted other swag. Those days are long gone. Nowadays you’re lucky if you get a clean car. Twice as lucky if you get one without obvious defects.

Issue #1 will likely resolve itself. The rubber seals/stops on the doors soften up over time and you won’t have to slam the door shut. Same issue with my front passenger side door. Resolved itself after a couple weeks.

After some experimentation I’ve found that Gorilla duct tape works better than gaffers tape or electrical tape (wrapped around the latch) to address rear seat rattle. Yeah unfortunately the backup is meant to be a backup. You’ll notice that it lights up and springs into action when your screen freezes or crashes. I also wish it were more responsive and not just a backup.

Can’t imagine it would cause an issue. I didn’t have significant wind noise but installed it anyway to tighten up the seams. After installing, I did actually hear less wind noise at high speeds.

So not even EoQ rush. It seems 2024 is another year in which the car has improved but the build quality has not, at least for MS. My 2013 MS was better built. My 2017 MX was not as well built. My 2024 MS is middle of the road…so far. I guess I should feel lucky…which is a sad state of affairs.

If you start to get a rattle from the rear, check the rear hatch rubber stops. Unscrew the stops a turn or two and the rattle should go away.

Due to the improved accuracy and reliability of updated Vision Park Assist, my guess is that a front bumper camera is not coming to S3XY cars. As for RGB ambient lighting, I doubt this will come before the next significant refresh of the Model S. That said, I could be totally wrong. 😂

100% agree. Pirelli Scorpion Weatheractive tires are similar to the Michelins. Have a look at those as well. In my experience, Michelins wear better than Pirellis or Contis in real life.

Both can be true at the same, and what you say is true. Tesla makes great cars but some of the rattle cans that they let pass through QC and PDI, it’s next level lmao. Fortunately, it’s not that many in the grand scheme but more than it should be.
