Just installed on new 2024 model 3. Took delivery on 4/6.

Took my MY into service for FSD problem, they said incorrectly installed software caused version mismatch, reinstalled it and now everything works again. While in service, it was updated to version 40.8, maybe that was the fix? Anyway, bill was $0. Drove home 2 hours on FSD

Finally had service appointment after 3 weeks. While in service, got 40.8 update notice, updated and service said they reinstalled the software and everything works again

I’m out of warranty too, I’m going to try to argue that they should pay for whatever it costs since it looks like the update broke driver assist function. My appt is on 1/8, hope they release a “fix” before the appt

Yup, several times and tried to reset DAS too. Soft reboot hard reboot, nothing worked. ECU A sometimes goes into normal state but ECU B doesn’t get past “init.” Visualization detects cars but no lanes. Tried calibrating cameras but it’s stuck.

Not under warranty, over 60k miles. Should’ve bought the extended warranty…

Holiday update completely bricked my FSD/autopilot, too. Nothing seems to work. Service mode shows ECU A and B in critical state. It was working just fine before the updates. I have 2020 MY with FSD.

Same problem after 44.30.5.1 update, no FSD visualization or cruise function. I reset it to reinstall but seems the secondary ECU is not initializing. Tesla wants to charge $2700 to replace the whoe MCU. Not available for another 2 weeks.

Don't do it if you are on HWD3. It bricked my FSD on 2020 MY, getting an error message about versionmismatch

I'm having the same problem after the holiday update 44.30.5.1. No FSD, no lanea and same APS_w160 versionmismatch message. I guess they screwed up with last update for different versions of the cars. 44.30.5.1 bricked my FSD completely, no fixes.

Just updated to 44.30.5.1 and it completely bricked FSD. No lanes, traffic signs, cruise control. Nothing! Guess it will be happening to more people with older models? 2020 MY

I rarely experience phantom breaking on highways. On city streets, it’s very cautious so any pedestrians or potential cars merging will make it break/slow down. But never had it on highway unless it’s going through a construction area. Changing lane in busy traffic is still a challenge but it...
