    Supercharger - Bernalillo, NM

Does anyone think this site is still happening? The Albuquerque metro has zero non-dealership DC fast chargers west of the railroad tracks and river. If you are staying in Rio Rancho and need to DCFC, it's a 15-20 minute one way detour to the nearest Superchargers along and to the east of I-25.

    Supercharger - Las Vegas, NM

Yes but EV DC fast charging is primarily for making long distance road trips more convenient. Las Cruces is the second largest city in New Mexico and we have zero non-Tesla 24/7 DCFCs. Roswell has 2 sites, with another coming to make it 3. Tucumcari has 2 sites (3 if you count Tesla)...

    Supercharger - Lordsburg, NM

Still no change from when I first visited in February. Very disappointing. At least it's still on Tesla's Find Us map with a targeted opening date sometime this year (2024)...

Supercharger - Las Vegas, NM - 7th St

That seems likely, however that was prior to the staffing changes at the Supercharger division. Unfortunately, it likely caused a few months extra delay.

Go Fund Me for EV Charging in SE NM

What is their hesitation about charging for EV charging? Even if they charge at or below market rate for home charging (under $0.20/kWh), it would be a great deal for EV drivers at a DCFC. I really wish someone could convince them otherwise because AC charging is not a good fit for the dwell...

    Supercharger - Las Vegas, NM

The only 24/7 DC chargers are the Tesla Superchargers at Roasted Rooster Coffee. All our other DC chargers are located at car dealerships that close overnight and on Sundays.

    Supercharger - Las Vegas, NM

Maverik was anticipated to install EV (DC) chargers at its brand new Las Cruces store. However, the gas station opened without any EV chargers in the ground. I guess they will install it later... It's too bad. I thought after Makerik purchased Kum & Go, the latter of which has installed many EV...

Go Fund Me for EV Charging in SE NM

Any way we could work on getting a DC charger at any of the McDonald's in Southeast New Mexico? There should be a big enough grid connection for at least a battery buffered DCFC. Perhaps a battery buffered solution from Electric Era or Spark Plug Chargers? A 30 minute dwell time at McDonald's...

    New Mexico NEVI Awards

Hi, that might take awhile longer since it's a thread of greater than 20 X posts. I guess I could just copy and paste what I said into a very long forum post below. I'll try to have that up by the end of the week, but I'm quite busy. In the meantime, does anyone know any good no login X/Twitter...

    Supercharger - Ozona, TX - 14th St

The Las Cruces, New Mexico Supercharger site also looked a bit like that. However, that was because it was in the ground for a good 6 months just bagged up waiting for the site host business to open. The bags don't prevent dust or rain from soaking through and leaving a light coating of mud. If...

    Supercharger - Lordsburg, NM

From MarcoRPi's site plans on X, it looks like the Lordsburg Supercharger will be going at the very back (east side) of the Circle K property on what is now a dirt lot. I did a site survey video which should be embedded in the replies further up this thread...

    Supercharger - Ozona, TX - 14th St

Yesterday at 3 PM there were only a few Teslas at the new V3 in Ozona. A maximum of 3. Too bad I had to charge at the EA down the street since I ate at Sonic anyways...

    Supercharger - Ozona, TX - 14th St

Yay, just in time for the eclipse! Now the rest of West Texas needs some Supercharger love. We're still stuck with old V2 (and across most of my home state of New Mexico as well).

    Supercharger - Encino, NM

@corywright Could you adjust this station on Supercharge.info to reflect the plans to build 16 stalls instead of just 8?

    Supercharger - Lordsburg, NM

No new news, I visited 2 weeks ago. This was the situation on the ground: EDIT: I also just checked the NM 811 locate website and there have been no locate requests filed at the address of the Circle K in the last month.

    Supercharger - Encino, NM

ICE problems? No, I don't think so. This area is quite far from the main entrance. When I visited last Friday it was fairly busy but, as you can see in my Twitter video, there weren't any ICE cars (except the semi truck cab) parked in that area.

Go Fund Me for EV Charging in SE NM

Really wish we could get DC charging at that McDonald's. Any chance the franchise owner would be open to submitting an application for the FreeWire Accelerate program? https://freewiretech.com/accelerate-program-v2/ A 30-minute meal stop is the ideal dwell time for a 200 kW DCFC. They could...

    Supercharger - Encino, NM

Wow, I guess we just missed each other. I did a site survey at the Bowlin's Flying C Ranch (I-40 Exit 234) on Friday and I didn't see anything. Additional technical details and specifications. Tesla had a very aggressive timeline saying it would be completed this month (April 2024). I doubt it...

KRQE says due to budget (& staffing). That was likely related to the numerous Continuing Resolutions (CRs) for the federal government's budget in the last few months.

    Supercharger - Clovis, NM

Oh I guess I can, now that I created a Tesla account for Supercharger access. Isn't V3 going to be phased out anyways? So it would just be V4 going forward. But yes, there was about a year delay while Tesla was seeking NEVI funds. That still doesn't address Clovis since that's not going to be...

Charging in and around Roswell, NM

Kia sends me that, even though I own an EV6. I mean it's right in the model name of the car. They're just wasting their own money mailing flyers. Anyways, I guess most hotels still don't see the benefits of installing EV chargers. We're still waiting for it to be seen as crucial an amenity as...

With Oppenheimer winning Best Picture, I'm sure the October Trinity Site open house will be swamped with people.

    New Mexico NEVI Awards

Hi, I covered the NEVI awards in more depth after I got a lot of open records request documents. That's detailed in the below long X/Twitter thread. I'll add more to the thread if it's relevant, but I think I got all the major players covered.

Charging in and around Roswell, NM

That site hasn't shown up on ChargePoint's map yet and a few people mentioned their sessions ended prematurely. I don't think that station has been fully set up yet. Since it was publicly funded (NMDOT 2022 grant funding from American Rescue Plan money), there's no reason for the station to not...

    Supercharger - Clovis, NM

Do we think this is getting built?? The Tucumcari Blake's Supercharger permit turned out to not be the final location since Tesla got NEVI funding to upgrade their existing V2 at the Holiday Inn to V4 by 2025. NEVI funding in Moriarty went to Pilot/Flying J. I guess Tesla didn't end up...
  26. ArtiePenguin1

    Supercharger - Alamogordo, NM

Funding has already been allocated. A few of the NEVI funded Supercharger sites I covered in my Twitter thread had estimated completion dates this year (2024). Lordsburg had this spring (quite optimistically this month, March 2024) and Wagon Mound had this October 2024. NEVI was funded from...

    Supercharger - Gallup, NM

Yeah I hope so too! It'll be at the American Heritage Plaza, which is also the site of a proposed (but did not win NEVI funding) Rivian Adventure Network site.

    Supercharger - Las Vegas, NM

Yeah, I think it's likely Tesla will build a new V4 this year without NEVI funding at 605 Mills Ave, next to the Super Save grocery store and Starbucks.

    Supercharger - Alamogordo, NM

Finally, someone to rescue us from terrible Francis Energy! I really hope Tesla can put a Supercharger in Roswell that's closer in town. The DOT's CPE-250 site is very far on the west side of town with zero amenities. Tesla should also install Superchargers in Carlsbad (for Carlsbad Caverns...

Supercharger - Las Vegas, NM - 7th St

Yes, that's correct. Sorry if I wasn't clear. The brand new install at 650 Mills Ave was not approved for NEVI funding. Tesla only got NEVI funding to upgrade the existing Version 2 Las Vegas Supercharger at the Comfort Inn. Tesla would need to fund and build the 650 Mills Version 4 on their...

Supercharger - Las Vegas, NM - 7th St

Hi, Tesla didn't submit a proposal for a V4 at Arby's. Their brand new 12-stall V4 proposal submitted to New Mexico DOT was at Lowe's Super Save grocery store at 605 Mills Ave. It's only a block away from the Arby's but has a bigger parking lot and is also right next to the Starbucks. Projected...

Supercharger - Las Vegas, NM - 7th St

Hello everyone, I'm a long time lurker and first time forum poster. Through a public records request, I found information that confirms Tesla will use NEVI funding to upgrade the existing V2 Supercharger at the Comfort Inn to V4 instead of constructing an entirely new site at Arby's. Arby's was...
