I'm thinking about trading for a cheaper EV every few years. A large chunk of the premium is the FSD hardware, and as it stands now it barely does as promised. I'd sell, get a cheaper EV, hold onto that for 5 or so years and see what Tesla is up to around that time. If they're still working on...

Robotaxi is never coming. It was promised "end of year" in 2019. You only make a prediction like that when you have something working. Then it was pushed back, and now we hear nothing about it. Elons first "prediction" was a complete and utter lie. Maybe they've made progress, but I doubt it.

If the plug fails im sure it wont be immediately, you can probably just keep plugging it every few months if it is an issue lol

I dont think we'll see this product "feature complete" within the next 10 years. My guess is the Tesla robot is a pivot so they havent got all their eggs in one basket. You've also noticed that Elon has been making fewer promises lately. I can bet there'll be a lot of people looking to sue them...

I find it wild that Tesla have dropped their in app support for some kind of FAQ. Instead I've just opened a service ticket now, get passed around a bit and they act like it was an inconvenience when I finally get a call back.

I'd go for the LFP. My purchase was maybe a month or two before they switched over, and I wish I had known it was coming before then.

I feel like Tesla is purposefully restricting my car from updates lol.

This is amazing. I'm in Victoria, Australia and considering doing the same thing over the robot taxi claims. We have pretty strong consumer laws here, and like you, Tesla have ignored all my emails.
