FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I've tried everything and am giving up for now. I have a 2024 MSLR. Disabled FSD under autopilot settings, no change. Rebooted twice, no change. Turned auto shift off and then back on, no change. Looks like they recently updated the online manual. Here's the disclaimer: Depending on market...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

So based on that it sounds like it's an auto shift issue for those who have FSD but not an issue for those without. If you find a way to make the new "on" setting appear, please let me know! I really wanted to use this.

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

The demo was on 2024.14.7 running FSD 12.3.6 so that's not it. Video link below at the appropriate spot. Either there's a bug on 2024.14.9 or they removed it for some reason on this revision. Too bad because it looks really useful. Anyone else who recently went up to 2024.14.9 have the full...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Ok so also tested this on my S and as you said, no auto shift other than out of park. Doesn't make sense since in the release notes it says it will shift between drive and reverse and dirty tesla did a demo of this on an S and it looked sweet. So confused why on a later release they pulled it. Dumb.

That’s not hilarious, that’s just sad. (wondering who the wife is)

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Regarding auto shift, I have a model S and also don't have the 3 box selection like in that black tesla video, but he was also on 2024.14.7 instead of 2024.14.9. Mine is just a checkbox to enable as before on 2024.3.25, but the description is different saying it will shift between reverse and...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

It's a Tesla issue. Any android device that supports ultra-wideband will eventually work, Tesla just does not support it yet. They released the feature for iPhones only first.

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Auto trunk is iOS only right now, no android. It's supposedly coming to android "in the future".

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

So what you're saying is that it also matters what branch you upgrade from and not just the branch you are upgrade to? Per TeslaFi, 39.4% of the entire fleet is running 2024.14.9 currently so are you saying that branch would potentially not be successful for those upgrading from 2024.3.25...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

The spring update 2024.14.9 with FSD 12.3.6 already went wide, so I'm saying they in theory could just push us on 2024.3.5 to that spring update branch with zero additional development work. It's the same exact version of FSD we're on now just with the spring update included. Since 2024.14.9...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Now that we're on yet another and new FSD 12.4.x delay, curious to see what happens with us 2024.3.25 folks. There's no reason to hold us back any longer on the spring update since the latest FSD is on the 2024.15.x branch, yet as of this morning we still sit at 2024.3.5 with zero updates. On...

This aged well from a week ago. Looks like BOTH were right. I'll take it!

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I imagine we would have already been moved up to 2024.14 if that was going to happen, especially considering the recent large deployment. 2024.9.x still looks like where we are going to land. The hot weather improvements announced for 2024.20 would be nice to have also, but we'll likely get...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I'm not saying a camera recalibration is crazy, but rather the excuse was crazy. As an employee and early tester, one of the first troubleshooting steps should have been a recalibration before going on reddit and saying 12.4 was unusable.
  15. S

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

So the Tesla employee that said 12.4 was "unusable" has reversed that statement to say 12.4 is now "incredible" and the issue was because his camera magically became uncalibrated. Reddit is, well reddit...but I'll take this as glimmer of hope 12.4 isn't a complete dumpster fire. Guy got his 15...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Likely anyone who either bought outright or has an active FSD subscription is being held back. Is there anyone with a paid (and never lapsed) subscription that was still bumped up to 14.x? The few hundred more moving each day could be those coming off trial that didn't subscribe.
  17. S

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Think there are two possibilities: 1. Major bugs and/or issues with 12.4, in which case we all better turn on camp mode and chill because it's going to be a minute. Almost a full retrain sounds cool but a lot could've gone sideways. 2. Purely wishful thinking on my part BUT maybe they are...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

In case you missed it, Elon said on May 20th that software branches and FSD are going to be synced up after the 12.4 rollout. If true I'm hoping this means that beginning with FSD 12.5, we should receive the latest FSD and vehicle software in the same package. No more new FSD releases on an old...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I'll just leave this right here:
  20. S

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

This is also mostly speculation on my part, but think they might group us in part based on how "well" we use FSD based on the frequency and usefulness of voice memos on disengagements. No doubt there are many algorithms grading what you send as feedback to dump the nonsense such as "thanks for...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

If the cabin camera can't see your eyes, makes sense to default back to the steering nag. I think a lot of people saw the tweet about the steering nag removal and got super excited thinking it was absolute instead of only under the right conditions. Assuming it works as intended, this is a big...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

My pleasure. One other thing I've noticed since getting a Tesla is the increased aggressiveness of other drivers at times, especially during rush hour or changing/merging lanes. At first thought it was in my head simply because I had a new car and was being overly paranoid but has happened too...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Had literally exact same issue although was in heavy rush hour traffic. Driving along bumper to bumper on I-76 with Philly drivers doing about 40mph, then some motorcycle comes flying down riding the center white line and FSD slams on the brakes and I almost get rear ended. I don't know how they...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

If 3 seconds represents 100% of the of the acceleration time it takes LR for 0-60, the plaid takes 2 seconds which is 66% of that 100%, so you gain 33% with the plaid. That hits a little less different, for me at least. We're all friends here so it just comes down to preference. For some, the...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Also had the same debate. I ended up ordering the LR in ultra red. While Plaid of course commands bragging rights, one second faster to 60 compared to extra range the LR provides didn't seem worth it. If you press your foot to the floor and hold, the LR is still extremely impressive and will...

Just ordered Plaid today ..realistic delivery date?

Interesting. You would think they are both made on the same production line but who knows. I'm sure they'll figure it all out soon enough. Definitely just a bit going on at Tesla right now based on yesterday's news.

Just ordered Plaid today ..realistic delivery date?

I ordered a MSLR last Monday 4/8. On Saturday the 4/13 I received my VIN. There was no exact match to my selected config in local inventory on a 200 mile radius search at time of order or even now, so assume this is a new build out of Fremont. App did try to get me to select a different config...
