I’m a shareholder and also worry about what will move the needle… too many demos when many things still haven’t been delivered on is concerning (e.g., 500 miles MS Plaid, Roadster, 500mile CT…. Granted Covid happened but no mention of this type of range; Mexico factory, FSD still evolving, etc)...

I going to arm chair quarter back this one… I want them to run some SEXY ads and make the brand known and aspirational (maybe that’s hard bc of the low pricing). Still some terrific ads, particularly with this 0.99% deal, would go a long way. I worry that just doing the financing… they can get...

I agree with this… it sends a message but maybe the wrong message. And as you said, people that are called back may not answer the call, despite believing in the mission.

Please don’t let this be a repeat of Twitter. While it didn’t fall apart, the jury is still out (or maybe it left) on its valuation.

Still don't understand how they are putting out new FSD releases, but not for all cars... anything on 2024.8.x isn't getting updated yet. I am among those and would like to experience FSD 12.x on my regular routes, to better understand Tesla's progress.

What a confusing week… is it Friday yet?

Sounds like FSD is evolving nicely but leaving those with 2024.8.x with nothing to experience… hoping that’s changing soon.

And no basis for it. This car would still be slightly too large for Europe/Asia.

We moved from CA to Texas several years ago… I charged to 90%, put it in valet mode and said “see you later”. Got the car about a week later and everything was fine. I don’t recall how much it drained (did not have sentry on).

Would love to see a Tesla Golf/GTI for all markets.

Wish they had launched this later in the week or month.... seems like an intentional distraction from earnings today. Which is concerning.... I hope to be wrong!

What the heck is going on…?

Opportunity for Elon and whoever else is present to instill confidence on their path forward… more so given all of the drama since P&D came out. Some earnings calls do this and others seem less inspiring… I’m hoping for the former.

Earnings call next week is growing in importance IMO.

Anyone have any insight why the shareholder meeting vote is only for the retroactive comp package and nothing for the next several years? Seems like an opportune time to take care of both.

Compare the performance of their flagship fund against the Nasdaq or S&P1500… they’ve underperformed considerably. Teladoc comes to mind as a company she touted for a while..

Why is this fund family still looked at? She was right once in a row and truly awful with everything else.

It’s not a reflection of engineering talent, but leadership. I know many terrific engineers that are not leaders. Rohan wasn’t engineering.

Who is still on the bench? I’m sensing that there isn’t a “deep” bench anymore. Rohan no longer there is a real shock to me.

Rohan and Drew leaving aren't great, IMO... I really like Rohan's X feed-- seemed like he is working on some critical policy stuff and provides a useful lens on what's going on between Tesla and governments.

Monday is going to be ugly for risk assets.

Anec-data.... co-worker bought a LR MY today because it was so cheap (mid-40s). He is "upgrading" (my word, not his!) from his 911...

At least in the US, if I was renting an apartment I don’t think getting an EV would be high on my list. Charging would be too inconvenient and these may be the same demographic that the pricing of the Model 2 is trying to attract.

I don’t think it’s pricing at this point… the media narrative seems to have moved to EVs are a “bad idea” so I think more education and awareness is needed. It wasn’t that long ago that Tesla was considered “cool” and aspirational… now it seems to be less so. I told a co-worked that they are...

To summarize this far, we have these unknowns for RT: 1) door closing (probably an easy solve); 2) automated charging (more difficult); 3) liability and regulatory issues I’m sure more items are out there, so my suspicion is that whatever we see on 8/8 will be quite a ways off from deployment...

I’m not so sure… for RT, don’t they need to consider additional features such as auto-closing doors? (ie, passenger gets out and doesn’t close the door… MX could handle this but not MY).

... and no mention of Model 2 reveal. I'm so confused and don't trust any media or their sources anymore... so thanks for that.
