Long time Model X owner here, late 2016 vintage. My wife is about due for a new vehicle as her current A4 is almost 13 years old and showing it’s age. We’ve been thinking about a Y or a 3 for her but I’m getting second thoughts with everything going on, including price hikes, delivery delays...

I'm assuming not, and I'm in that group. HW2.5 also includes cameras with better RGB detection, along with different radar and wiring. FDS computer is just a replacement for what's in the dash.

I change my own Model X tires in my home garage twice every year for winter and all season tires. It’s not hard, just need the right tools.

There was a separate post similar to this: Grinding/Rattling noise on my model X My issue was similar to others, the front half shafts needed to be replaced on my 90D, that fixed the problem.

UPDATE: just got my Model X back from the service center. Thanks to this post, they found the half - shafts as a cause of my front rattling noise, and had them pro-actively ordered and replaced. The car feels much better when accelerating. Shout out to the Paramus, NJ service center. Top notch...

Let us know what happens! I'd be very interested to do this also on my non PUP X. I installed the Abstract Ocean lights including the ones under the front seats which helped a lot.

Re: Franz's car, either this is a newer red Model 3, or he has made some modifications to the calipers and rear badge. I've attached photos of his Model 3 from the Motortrend sneak peak feature taken right before the delivery event.

According to my local service center, they said yes the car needs to be on Wi-Fi preferentially.

Can confirm, the fix just came through. Successfully installed without any errors

What freaks me out now that autopilot is disabled and the car is not displaying other cars on the driver binnacle, is whether AEB has been disabled as well.

This happened to me this morning. Update failed, moreover autopilot and TACC completely inoperable. I called my local service center, they said make sure it spends a good enough time on WiFi to redownload and try again over the next 48 hours.

UPDATE: got the seat fixed finally 2 days ago. The whole seat had to be replaced in order to fix the broken pitch motor. Screenshot of the service invoice attached.

I do like the open feel of my light headliner as i configured right before they removed the option for the multi pattern seats. However it does pick up dirt on the B pillar as @outie said.

No, it does not. Motor makes a grinding noise. Moves horizontally back and forth.

Update: tesla service center said the pitch motor in the seat is what broke. The whole seat will have to be replaced and one is in order. The seat is still usable, just can't tilt it forward or back. Horizontal movement is fine.

The tilt motor on my passenger side 2nd row monopost seat broke, preventing the seat from tilting forward or back. It moves perfectly fine horizontally, though. My Model X 6 seater is in the service center right now. They are ordering me me a whole new seat to replace it, and will do temporary...

Just to add on, installed the 11 bulbs in my non-premium AP2 Model X. The under-seat brackets for the bulbs are already installed in my AP2 car, which was great. The wire under the driver's seat is loose and easily accessible with minimal effort. The wire under the passenger seat is zip tied...

I always keep off. I got a weird thing where it annoys me if the DRL are off. I still think its stupid to tie DRL to range mode to begin with. Its a safety feature.

Mike from Gladiator did my NEMA 14-50. $1350 for full install including over 50 feet of wiring from my basement main panel to the garage. Clean work, just wish it wasn't so pricey.

to the OP, ouch! I feel lucky that in NJ, no sales tax on EVs and no personal property tax on cars.

According to Tesla, enhanced auto pilot uses four of the eight cameras. Full self driving should be utilizing all the cameras. As to how many cameras are being utilized in shadow mode I'm really not sure

Just got the update this morning. Haven't had a chance to try it out. From what it's worth I got it while on Wi-Fi at home.

Very hard to predict but at this rate (5mph increase every 2 weeks), still won't have parity to AP1 for about 2 months or more.

I have a 6 seater, glad its not a seven. I keep the 3rd row head rests in the folded position most of the time for unobstructed view from the rear mirror. Just wish the 2nd row had arm rests.

I'm at about 390 to 430 wh/mile in my X90D. I've only had the car for a month in wintery NY, drive up 500ft to 1000ft extra in elevation for work, and on 19" blizzak winter tires.

I agree. Have an X90D, delivered on 12/31/16. I thought by paying for eAP it would be better than my test drive HW1/AP2.0 software package. Not even close. Barely functional right now. That being said, I certainly don't want it rushed out if it isn't ready. I hope Chris Lattner starts soon!

NJ here, got it at 4 AM on Sunday. Car was connected to my home wifi.

took delivery of my 90D 12/31/16. I would have gladly payed extra 3K for the 100D, but I am glad I have supercharging free for life of the car.

Just put 19" Blizzak's from Tirerack + wheels on my new X. Surprisingly very little extra road noise. Also TPMS worked right out of the box.
