You clearly know a lot more about this than I do. I was relying on Tesla phone instructions and tow driver. I did not know that once the car is "started", the 12V battery was unnecessary.

Yes, wh/mi are a little higher on the new Primacy's than on the end-of-life Energy's. I'm hopeful that will improve as the Primacy's get some miles on them. Otherwise, I really like them. Ride is very good, handling seems good, noise level is good. So far, I have no regrets.

So far, I’ve been very happy with my Primacy Tour A/S’s. Efficiency is a little worse so far, but otherwise excellent.

I just replaced the tires on my 2018 MS100D. I got 60,000 miles out of the Michelin Energy tires I replaced. Very happy with them. My new tires are Michelin Primacy Tour A/S. Hoping I get similar miles out of them.

The other part that really bothered me was their refusal to offer me a loaner car, even though they admitted it was a warranty repair. I appealed to the SC manager, but he still refused. I was without my car for a full week, all because of a 12V battery.

They told me they charge the diagnostic fee if they perform a diagnostic check, no matter what the issue turns out to be.

Picked up the car Monday morning. Tesla charged me $195 for diagnosis fee. They replaced the 12v battery at no charge (it was under warranty since they had just installed it 11 months ago). My only serious complaint is the fact that it took a week to get a 12v battery!

It did show the charge rate and it was normal (54 miles/hr)

I’ve had a great experience with my Tesla, up until this point. This is the first time I’ve actually considered switching back to ICE. Tesla has not handled this well IMHO. I messaged Elon on Twitter about my problem, but no reply. I guess he’s a little busy now. . .

I did not notice which lights came on when I plugged back in, but lights did come on, where they did not prior to the boost. The charging indicators in the drivers display appeared perfectly normal, except no miles were being added. I only observed that for a minute or so, before I gave up...

The tow truck driver did use a high powered portable jumper and the car immediately came alive. At that point, I tried to charge the car. It would not charge. Perhaps we didn't give it long enough.

One of my biggest concerns when I was considering buying my MS100D was tire wear. I had read horror stories about tires lasting only 5,000 to 15,000 miles! I drive 25,000 miles/year, so that would mean going through lots of tires. I’ve been pleasantly surprised that I got 42,000 out of my OEM...

Thanks for the information. I really don't' need an all season tire, since almost all of my driving is in GA and FL. I do want a tire that gets good traction in rain, though. I want at least a 60,000 mile tire. TireRack shows a Michelin "Primacy 4". Is that the same as a "Primacy MXM4"??

Are you still happy with your Pilot Sport 4's? Does Michelin offer an "acoustic" version and "non-acoustic" version? Are you still getting low wh/mi? I'm ready to replace the tires on my 2018 MS100D. Thanks for your help.

Does it only apply to cars that are still under Tesla warranty?? My MS100D was repaired for this condition while it was still under warranty, but that repair did not last very long. I'm out of warranty now and the condition is still there.

I believe Michelin has an all-new EV tire (Pilot Sport EV) out now. You might want to check that out.

That’s exactly what I experienced when I went from factory Goodyear’s to QuieTracks: Significant drop in efficiency! Costco allowed me to return them . After replacing with Michelin’s, efficiency went up significantly.

I installed the Michelin "Energy" tires. Not the "Energy Saver". I've been very happy with them. I have 28,000 miles on them now and they are wearing very well. I expect to get 50,000 miles, which is what I had hoped for.,

I've got over 48,000 miles on my 2018 MS 100D and the only issue I have had is the DRL's. I was thinking of getting the extended warranty, but it doesn't seem to me to be worth it. Even if the DRL's keep going out, I have the option of paying to replace them, or simply live with the yellow look...
