Did anyone get a high 375xxx VIN like 3756xxx or 3758xxx. I’m just wondering where the cut off is for the AMD to Intel since I have a mid-high 375 and my SA stopped answering me when I asked about the chip….
I’ve been emailing back and forth with my SA for a few weeks now and she always answers within an hour. I asked yesterday about the AMD chip and crickets….
My 2018 Model 3 is slowing down noticeably when I try to load things like Netflix, YouTube or the Web Browser. If I don’t get the AMD on my 375xxx I’m rejecting it. Things will only get slower in the coming years on the Intel chip and I plan on keeping my Y for a while.
Pretty sure it’ll have the Michelin All Seasons even though I’m hoping for the Pirellis. By law, we cannot drive on AS tires in the winter, so I need winter tires anyway. AS are useless here.
Yeah the roads are horrible so I’ll be doing the slalom to keep them intact.
I’m also trying to escape given the current situation in Quebec. Not a fan of being a prisoner with no freedoms. Might head down to Florida 😉
I have 375xxx and I’ve asked my SA to confirm if I have Intel because it’s a deal breaker for me. My Model 3 infotainment has already been getting slower and slower and I can’t imagine how bad the Intel chip will be in 3-4 years.
Thanks for this. I was searching for 5YJ and obviously wasn’t getting anything. Just looked for 7SA and found my 375xxx VIN. Fingers crossed for AMD chip….
MYP Black, White Interior, Tow -> Feb 17th delivery
I just changed my colour from white to black on Saturday. My EDD didn’t change, it’s still Feb 11-24, but I don’t know if that’s just because my change was done over the weekend. We’ll see….
My only regret with respect to my Model 3 is getting the LR rather than Performance. That’s why I’m getting the MYP now.
Note: My friend has the Model 3 Performance and he hasn’t had to change his tires any more than I have with the LR. It all comes down to how you drive.
Yeah I get it, I just don’t think the difference will be so huge that it will be worth the wait and trust me I flip flopped about putting my reservation on hold. Anyway, at the end of the day, we’ll both get awesome Model Ys. Cheers!
I don’t plan on bringing my Y to a drag strip so I don’t really care about a few 1/10ths. Waiting for the best Tesla is like waiting for the best IPhone. You’ll never get it.
I view what you labelled “Tesla shifting away from EVs” the same way as “Amazon shifting away from online sales”. They started AWS which is a HUGE contributor to their bottom line, while still ramping their online sales. I don’t think Tesla will stop building/selling EVs, but their shift to AI...
Tesla makes money on their cars. The ones from legacy auto are loss leaders. They only exist as compliance cars to avoid emissions penalties. Always keep that in mind.
Yes out of powder, but I’m also letting all this blow over before going on margin to buy the dip. I think it can still go lower, but if not and it stabilizes/goes up even to $900, I’m still getting an amazing price. So it’s worth it to wait it out.
Exactly. That’s why this was one of the strangest calls in Tesla history. Literally none of us could have predicted how it actually went. Pretty nutty.
Here we go again. Why is this always the go to response? People are allowed to be critical of the company/Elon yet still believe in them long term. Please stop with this “then sell your stock” BS. It’s getting old.
I said nothing about Tesla’s future, fundamentals, financials…etc.
All I said was that this reaction was predictable from the market. This is nothing new.
