Update! Just received a text message to book my delivery appointment. VIN assigned and delivery scheduled for Thursday afternoon!
This comes after my EDD moved from May 3 - May 12 back to June 11 - 30 a couple of days ago. Hopefully this means many of you will also get earlier delivery dates...
Same thing happened to me.
Last week changed from June 25 - June 30 to April 29 - May 12. Each day this week, the May 12 window held, and then this morning it switched to June 11 - June 30. So frustrating!

A few months back, I took delivery of the TSportline TSS 20 inch wheel & tire package, with Michelin AS3+ 255/40/20 tires. I was excited to have them installed at my local Discount Tire after hearing many good reviews and recommendations from the Tesla community.
Discount Tire, however, refused...
I swapped out the 21 inch Uberturbine wheels w/ Pirelli P Zero tires shortly after picking up the car. Only 37 miles driven total on the wheels and tires, so they are effectively brand new. Also including the TPMS sensors.
Pickup in the Bay Area would be preferred, but I am open to shipping...
Reporting in on my delivery today (build date 2/5/21).
Build Quality: Very good (Zero panel alignment or paint issues. Only two minor issues: 1) Rear seat alignment - right side sets about an inch forward of the left, confirmed neither side is reclined. 2) Driver side rear door takes extra...
Yes, yes it’s happening today at 5pm PT. I will for sure provide an update on this thread :) I know it has the new headlights and old center console. I’m fully expecting it to have the heated steering wheel. The wildcard is bioweapon defense mode from the HEPA filter, but I think the chances are...
Thanks for sharing the pics and install info of the ZL1 Addons Rock Guards. I received my set last week, and I'm hoping to install them on my MYP when I take delivery later this week.
For the longer pin, is this the part you got from AutoZone...
VIN was assigned early morning on Feb 6th.
The advisor said I could take delivery as soon as the next day (7th) because the car was already onsite in Colma, CA, but I needed a couple of days to sort out insurance and funding.
Yeah they must have just switched over yesterday (2/5). I didn’t take a close look at the build dates on the other ones around it to confirm, but I did notice one had a 121,XXX VIN (VIN’s are not always sequential though)
I just went down to the delivery center to check out my new MYP on the lot before taking delivery this coming Wednesday, and I’m happy to report that it has the new headlights! VIN 124,XXX.
The center console is not updated, for those wondering.
I just saw it when I logged in to the Manage page. After speaking with the advisor, the car is already onsite at the delivery center, and I scheduled my appointment for Wednesday 2/10! I’m going to try to check it out on the lot in advance over the weekend
I ordered back on 10/24/20 (before the FSD price increase). I deferred until Q1 to align with the end of my current vehicle’s lease. Tesla did assign me an 88XXX VIN in December to deliver on 12/31 but I asked to be unmatched and put back in the queue.
I went ahead and ordered these ($44 shipped) as a stop-gap until the Tesla OEM mud flaps are restocked, as I am expecting delivery of my Model Y in the next 2-3 weeks. I'd like to install them right at delivery to minimize rock chip damage to the rear quarters (I also ordered the Tesla rear...
Yeah since I’ve been through this before in December, I expect that I’ll get a VIN at the tail end of the Feb 1 - 16 window. Once the VIN is assigned, I then need to quickly figure out insurance (hopefully Tesla insurance is as competitive as they say it is, but I will shop around including USAA)
My MYP reservation just updated to Feb 1 - Feb 16 (located in the Bay Area). Originally ordered 10/24/20, but deferred delivery until Q1 to align with my current vehicle lease end.
The interior pic on the updated US Model Y configurator does not show the refreshed (matte) center console yet. It’s only on the US Model 3.
In general, I agree with your sentiment though that Tesla updates it’s feature very quickly relative to other automakers. It’s likely that the new center...
it’s also interesting that the new configurator still does not mention the heated steering wheel even though we’ve seen it delivered already. Maybe they’re planning to update the content when all the changes (center console, etc.) are in production in Fremont...
@Tedkidd No VIN assigned for me yet (there's a flag on my reservation to be ineligible for VIN assignment until early February). I actually got a VIN assigned originally back on 12/29 88xxx with 12/31 delivery to hit the end-of-Q4 rush, but I deferred since I was away from home and not ready...
New video on YouTube from DÆrik showing that the new center console from the Model 3 retrofits cleanly in the Model Y (assuming he gets the key card resync solved):
I have the exact same configuration on order. Ordered back on October 24, 2020 to lock in the $8k FSD price but deferred VIN assignment until February when my current vehicle’s lease expires. We haven’t seen the new center console, new headlights, MIC interior door trim or HEPA filter on any...
With the latest delivery timing estimates by trim level being SR & LR 2-5 weeks and Performance 6-10 weeks, I wonder if these feature upgrades will be added in 6 weeks (mid Feb) to deliver first in the higher-margin Performance trim in order to absorb the change costs.
Of course, but at the current time there is pretty high likelihood that these *known* upgrades will come to the US soon, so it is reasonable to wait. It’s relatively rare in the Tesla world to have advanced knowledge of pending upgrades like we seem to have at the current time given the MIC...
I’m planning to take delivery in the latter half of Q1, so I’m hopeful that the MIC MY upgrades will make it to the US in the next couple of weeks. My personal prediction is that we’ll see a design studio update for ALL models early next week when the S/X production lines reopen (wishful...
Please post pics and thoughts when you receive and install. I’ve also been considering RPM Tesla for real carbon fiber on the center console and dashboard.
Do you have any pics of this kit installed on a customer or demo car? The Novitec kit is the best I’ve seen for the Model 3 since the kit was released last August, but (likely due to the high price tag) I haven’t seen many images beyond the red model in the marketing photos.
Milltek had it...
I picked up my S 60D on Saturday afternoon. The DS said that it would take 24-48 hours for the car to link to the app. It has now been about 48 hours and I still receive a "No vehicles linked to this My Tesla account" message when I try to sign into the app. Furthermore, my My Tesla page has...
With all of the ideas going around about the Model 3 cockpit (e.g. heads-up display, etc.), I think there is a case to be made for the Model 3 having a driver display integrated into the steering column.
1) In the Model 3 design sketches, the steering column is featured prominently as separate...
I was watching the reveal and promo videos for the LeEco LeSee concept electric car, and I could not help but notice the similarity of the cockpit to that of the Model 3. Based on Elon's tweets comparing the real Model 3 cockpit to a spaceship, I can envision the concept Model 3 interior...

Tesla does not produce cars for dealer inventory like other manufacturers. All vehicles are custom ordered by a buyer who places a deposit at the time of his/her order.

To me, it looks like matte prototype Model 3 was a grey, gun metal matte color on reveal night; however, the photos of the car in the days that followed show a much darker matte black color. The door handles show that it is indeed the same car in both sets of photos.
What do you think? I...
I agree with you. I prefer the minimalist interior and simplicity of everything on one screen. My posts discussing "HUD with augmented reality" ideas are simply for the sake of discussion. I do not think a driver-focused instrument cluster is necessary. Things like the speedometer will of...
This is a 3-year old video from Mobileye (AP hardware supplier). While the animations aren't pretty, it's the best demo of what I think of as an augmented reality HUD. I think it would be feasible to create a HUD with augmented reality that would display lane lines, turn-by-turn navigation...
You are mistaken. I think several people are confused because the Chevy Bolt site (2017 Bolt EV: All-Electric Vehicle | Chevrolet) lists the price in large font at "$30K". That $30K price assumes the $7,500 federal tax rebate. The actual starting price of the Chevy Bolt is $37,500, so $2,500...
Yes, this should be a sticky. With the amount of engagement Musk is providing via twitter, there should be plenty of information to make ongoing updates.
