This is smart on the part of Target. I understand from a recent news that Target is committed to more Tesla/EV charging stations. The ChargePoint here are free at 6.6Kw.
Back to being Smart. I now shop more at Target and other stores at hub, instead of going to Safeway or Walmart. Great time saver.
While Model 3 deliveries + transit and production rate pushed back by a quarter are big disappointments, but Model S/X numbers are great. So are we likely to see the post Q3 delivery reactions where stock price went down first, and then rapidly restored since investors felt that the Model S/X...
I hope so, but I think the key will be number of cars not delivered but en-route for delivery. And if the number can be broken down to include lots of Model 3 then I think that'll help with guessing on production rate. I doubt the report will include production rate since it's unprecedented -...
The one factor that was amended after the Q2 delivery number miss was the number of cars enroute for delivery. So if the delivery report does not not include latest weekly production count for Model 3, then the number of transient cars contain a breakdown of how many are Model 3s will help on...
The Chanos interview was published couple of days ago so this got recycled? I see couple of negative news/analysis that got recycled from couple of days ago. Is Wall Street trying to hold down the price..for X number of days to allow reload/rotating money in?
I wonder what would be the reasons why (mostly) the Model 3s are piled up FULL in storage parking lots. Needing final parts, or purposely holding them until next quarter/year as they believe the Model S/X deliveries will surpass expectation?
I agree that any day now. I believe the key catalyst is the news of suppliers restoring to the original obligations and even now have to do air shipments. This mean that getting on the 5K delivery per week is getting real.
Based on ATH in summer reached were only due to hype to first delivery...
December 2016 build purchased from showroom at end of March. Approx. 11,200 miles as of this posting. Unlimited charging forever goes with the car.
21" Grey wheels. Panoramic glass. Autopilot 2 (EAP). Premium package with bio-weapon defense mode, perforated seats and heated front seats...
Good point! Shift in raw materials away from lithium will change the landscape, but I haven't 'read' anything else that suggest the production at high capacity, high voltage, and stability. My limited knowledge from reading the news bits suggest that there can be hundreds of variations in the...
I was told the same when I was considering to buy a P90DL instead of P100DL in spring this year and ask owner advisor to confirm upgrade path. She checked many sources internally and said 'should be able in the future as there are no firm plan to do it now'. I take that as a 'not for me' since...
Well only if you buy Apple or ultra-thin notebook. Unless the product is so good, I always go with upgradable laptops if there are such choices. Thank God there are lots of players in laptops, so I go with Thinkpad line (T50). Upgrade many parts from memory to PCIe NVM SSD to hard drives to even...
Understood. Given that I don't understand most of the players and dynamics in the supply-chain, from mining to processing, I have to rely on those who know the space and can adjust. Those fund managers should deserve to make money for their service on putting together such fund. The bottom line...
My S suffered the driver side rear quarter glass break in few weeks ago in Fremont (Pacific Commons). Brooks Motor Cars in Fremont, who's the authorized Tesla body repair, told me they do approx. 3 same Model S quarter glass repairs each week. Pretty much all on driver side. They got a lot of...
LIT ETF has been going up steadily. I think it includes about 6% Tesla, and then others are in the lithium battery mining, production, and recycle businesses. Given more and more countries are phasing out ICE and other zero-emission tech (e.g., hydrogen fuel cell) far off and auto manufacturers...
Interesting bit of observation Friday night at the Fremont factory at around 7-8pm. There were a stream of transport trucks leaving one after another. The strange thing is the ones I saw leaving were not the regular type of double-decker transports. They were boxed and has sufficient length to...
Just have Alliant transmit the fund by October 17. It'll show up in your Tesla account as paid within a day or so. So what if you pick up a car a few days later with that interest rate.
Does anyone think the announcement of number of cars delivered will come on Sunday or on Monday? the last day of the month is 9/30th, which is tomorrow. So Sunday night announcement doesn't seem likely...
Lots of positive news popping up so trend and momentum seem to go up before the semi announcement. I think this trend will continue this week for as long as no stupid N.K. actions.
Sounds like very attractive market to go after business wise, but definitely can make a major dent to emissions. Another benefits is add machine-learnable miles for autonomous driving maybe may other location-based data. I heard many months ago prototypes have been test-driven like sports cars...
Audi's maxes out at 37mph I believe as it's appropriately called (lane-keeping with) traffic assist. That's far cry from 90mph. It's the easiest implementation of all.
Ford initial deployment will be shuttling employees around campus, which is controlled environment. They have a long way to...
Will they have improved lane keeping, or still at a maximum speed of 37mph? totally useless that that limit as most stop and go traffic on freeway goes between 15 - 40.
You can always just tweet directly to Elon.
I recently was at Fremont showroom at factory. The t-shirts and jackets were all available for purchase. Maybe call around few showrooms?
Maybe sometime next year there will be legislation (at least in California) to do something for Tesla as part of the effort to continue encourage EV growth while other car makers taking their sweet time.
But you can also consider a Model S with AWD. With $7500 credit now (and $2500 in Calif +...
Seem to be great non-advertised deals, but maybe lease residual is based from MSRP before discount? That get's me interested to perhaps consider upgrading to a AP2 version! Can u PM me too if you get the next list for others? Thanks in advance.
My guess is some day trader profit taking after spiking to $370? Stablizing within $360-$370 range would consider 'consolidation' and good for building a support base?
I do the compromise. I buy LEAP (J19) and close to strike price. Expensive but can sell early for profit and keep most time value if price goes up. If price goes down, there is plenty of time to recover as we all know longer term the stock price will be up.
I think this is the reason the price is "dipping": Has Tesla Got Enough to Fund Its Model 3?
To me, doesn't seem like a big deal. It should be positive.
Sorry to have this happened to you..or happened at all. Glad your injury is minor and are able to get get married. Surviving like this can just mean bigger and better things coming to you in life!
If there are holes, I would go to rockery and order delivery of river rocks or whatever size that can fill the dips. That might be a more practical solution then building a small bridge. Even with higher suspension I suspect you wouldn't want one wheel to go over a hole big enough to cause the...
Congrats on the MX100D! We had our MX90D for 8 months now and took couple of long trips (> 500 miles). Here are our experiences with battery and range:
1. Rated miles you see is fixed at something like 350wh/mi (90kwh/257mi range) for my MX90D. My understanding is MX100D has max range of 294...
I wouldn't consider that production hardware in the context of being integrated as part of the production car. I don't think they'll put Lidars on top of the roof like that on real production car that is officially promoted and sold as a self-driving vehicle. That's still 3 years away...assuming...
I think the Nissan person said 4 Lidars. If each Lidar is $80K (perm memory from forums last year), then how much is Nissan going to charge each car? This is still for show..on a pre-tested road. No different than what Tesla video has shown on its website.
So at this point do we think market will pull back a bit after the Tencent 5% stake news, and then go back up in April and then up/down in May depending on good news/bad news?
Some factors bring stock down: current news have 1) employee harassment suit as issues in Fremont plat, and 2) first...
I have long Tesla (stocks and call options) and am thinking about putting in more. But before putting significant portions into the future where SP > $300, I would like to play a little devil's advocate and hope can get some input from folks on this thread.
Assumption: Tesla stock can go to...
While on the road, I would call the 24/7 Tesla Service and inquire. Sometimes the status are wrong. For example, earlier this year coming back LA to Bay Area, Harris Ranch showed non-operational. i called and the person said they are operational but use stalls 4-6 for maximum power. Another time...
Thanks for sharing your experience. But I am wondering why would you buy LEAP on SNAP if 1) the trend up is the price appreciation is within a period of 2 months (presumably after the initial dip), and 2) if Facebook will "eat their lunch eventually" which may be 2 years or less down the road?
I'm reading sporadic outage for Alexa, but no news about AWS outage. Does anyone know which cloud service provider Tesla use for handling app requests (e.g., AWS) or it's own data center?
