Same issue here in bay area from mountain view to Palo Alto from 7 to 830pm Reboot didn't help.

Are you not able to upgrade your 70D to 75D and uncork it? Doing that made all the difference for me and I'm really happy I bought the 70 over the 90.

Got the version update Friday...have been on and off wifi since with a weak signal. Weird thing was that when I first left home tonight, I didn't have the maps. After two hours at my daughters softball game with no wifi, when I went to leave the message popped up.

Posted my thoughts on the update thread so won't cross post the details, but I got the new maps tonight and really like it so far.

Got the new maps tonight. Only drove 10 miles, but really like it so far: 1. Better turn by turn voice instructions. 2. More detailed on eye level display with multi turn visibility. 3. Faster pinch and zoom. 4. Much better traffic detail on the big screen.

Got the update to 2018.12 last night. No map changes that I can tell. AP1 seems to be smoother on takeoffs and stops in traffic. Voice recognition seemed to have deteriorated. Screen seemed maybe a bit snappier, but not noticeably. AP1 did at one point refuse to go over 58 on the freeway when...

Krash, you know your stuff. What is the basis for the liability concern, and why can't this easily be overcome with a charge to upgrade? It's clear that they believe that the value of offering the faster inventory outweighs the liability concern which tells me it cannot be that substantial.

Sent in my complaint. They need to know this destroys value for them. They are looking at the trees of a few sales instead of the forest of long term customer loyalty (or at least some immediate and free margin from a charge to upgrade).

It just occurred to me, that even if they are going to uncork older cars, they will do it after quarter end. Nothing indicates that they will but hope springs eternal.

60D and 75D have the same power. It's just range that is limited.

Either they a. are full of bull and the old drive unit is capable of the faster times, b. the person you talked to is uninformed, or c. the new drive units were installed earlier than admitted. I'm not going with a or b with an a lean. Tesla, please give me my speed!

AP1 75D and just got the update. It's completely screwed up my nav. Auto resizing doesn't work properly anymore so big screen is always too far zoomed out on the map to be helpful. Only way to fix is to Constantly zoom and scroll. Anyone else having this issue or know a fix?

One other thought. For tesla, this is also a way to potentially reduce supercharger demand (if slower peak charging time on new 75s, is outweighed by fewer people needing to Supercharge). More money, happier customers, more supercharger availability=win, win, win... Only losers are people like...

Totally agree. It's way worse... Doesn't pick up destinations, doesn't call people I tell it to, takes multiple tries, doesn't call up the right songs, and it's slower. Apart from the better regen and autopilot, 8.0 absolutely sucks.

Yes. This and it nearly always skips the last 45 seconds or so of a song. Between this and the horrible ability to find channels on slacker and slow voice recognition, the new media player is vastly inferior (aka sucks) . TESLA, PLEASE REVERT TO THE OLD MEDIA PLAYER!
