I walked around to take pictures on the “driver’s side” of the cab and the engineers told us we were not allowed to go back there. But in the moment I was there I saw at least 2 SCs connected to the truck.
No clue. But the engineers did tell us that there are only two in existence.
Good question! I walked around to take pictures on the “driver’s side” of the cab and the engineers told us we were not allowed to go back there. But in the moment I was there I saw at least 2 SCs connected to the truck.
They said they were about half full but he didn’t say what he was hauling. I asked if they could pull the Grapevine at freeway speeds and he said fully loaded they pass every truck!
We saw the Tesla Semi at the Kettleman City SC! 1 of only 2 in existence! The driver sits in the middle of the cab flanked by two M3 landscape screens.
The two engineers who were driving it were super friendly and full of answers. They said take pictures post to Instagram, Facebook, Amazon.
On the way home at Gustine again the charge rate dropped to 4kW! It was showing hours left to charge! We disconnected & reconnected but it didn’t get better. We had to move to another charger. Clearly there are problems at Gustine.
We were erroneously charged $8 idle fees in Gustine when the supercharger stopped for no apparent reason with less than 50% charge! We received NO notification that charging was interrupted. The only reason I knew charging had stopped was because I looked at my app to see how charging was...
Same thing happened to us in Gustine. I looked at my app to see how charging was progressing only to find that it had stopped with less than 50% charge! We got no notification that charging had stopped AND worst if all, we were charged $8 idle fees apparently for 16 minutes that elapsed before...
We found an impact and "spider leg" cracks in our Model X right FWD roof while parked in a hotel lot. This after a drive from the Bay to LA. We don't know how or when the glass was hit but obviously there were lots of trucks on I-5. We opened a claim with our insurance company & we will contact...
Makes total sense to me! We had an 04 Prius for 8 years then sold it to a family member who still loves it. We traded our MS in for a Model X after a (6-month wait). Took a beating on the trade but we love the MX. In The meantime our 2012 PriusV is about ready for a trade so we reserved the...
I agree with you - as awesome as our Model X is, it can't touch Lexus in the creature comforts arena. (Even our Prius gives text message audio readouts. I'm hoping that feature will one night arrive as an Tesla OTA software upgrade.)
We Have owned 3 different Lexus cars. An RX300, SC430...
So within a couple of days after delivery we found a few issues.
1) Sometimes our driver's door seems to "hang" and needs to be 'forced' to completely open or to close.
2) Chrome door trim on both sides of car are slightly out of alignment.
3) A couple of random spots that looked like...
Watching the assembly line at the factory yesterday, we saw Models S & X of all different colors rolling out one behind another. I've read several times on this thread that Tesla groups cars by color, configuration, etc for mass production. But from what I could see, that did not appear to be...
Watching the factory at work yesterday… on a Saturday mind you… I was surprised that any cars get hung up in production. It seems like a very efficient operation that moves cars swiftly through all points. But I know from first hand experience that a car can get stuck in the production...
We drove away in just under 3 hours.
They tell you to allow 1:45 but we were delayed because
1) They had to correct typos on our final MVPA.
2) my husband found loose fabric hanging down under the passenger seat (that required a quick trip to the service center to fix) and
3) once we were...
Thank you! Joyriding as we speak.
We were there at 9 o'clock for the first round of deliveries and the show room was full! There were 5 MXs and one MS being delivered in the first go-round. Lots of other people pouring in as we were leaving. They're having a very busy day in Fremont today!

We received our very first systemically generated Tesla email this morning:
"Your Tesla is getting prepped for delivery. It is now time to schedule your delivery. Please reply to this email with your availability for the next week. (For example: Friday afternoon, or Saturday morning.) The...
Just got this message from our Delivery Specialist who works on her day off and apparently on holidays:
Good morning and Happy Labor Day!
I checked in on your Model X and what would you know? Production has wrapped up and your Model X is being put in queue for its final inspection! This is...
Yes. Got that email over 2 weeks ago but our MX remains "in production". People have said on other threads that they full paid and yet their car still languished in the factory. I view Tesla just like any other contractor. I don't full pay for any product or service that I haven't received...
I see some are trying to decide whether to spring for the upgraded charging capabilities. The NEMA 14-50 has been sufficient to keep our MS P85 ready to roll every morning even when we come home fairly "empty" after a long trip. I saw no need to order the higher amperage for our MX and incur an...
It is curious how some are getting emails saying "you're entering production". Some got emails saying "production is complete". One person on this thread even posted about receiving an email directly from Elon himself regarding delivery.
All of my updates have come solely through my DS. I have...
I'm reluctantly morphing to this thread from the one for August Deliveries. Sigh...
MX 75D Confirmed 6/17. (See full config in signature line) VIN assigned 7/3. Entered Production 8/10. MVPA target delivery date 8/24. In "final stages" of production since 8/16. Still no confirmed delivery...
