Yes, it used to be much much better. Been like what you describe for almost a year. I used to drive about 80-90% of my daily commute on Autopilot, now it is more like 10-20%. Steering is fine, but breaking and acceleration is very annoying.

Yes, also seen this for the past 2 months. AP has gotten quite bad in heavy traffic as the distance it keeps to the next car is not right. Either too long and people cuts in or it gets close and then brakes too hard. Very annoying. Used to work very well…

I have also noticed this in recent releasens. Almost make Autopilot useless in heavy traffic for me, as it leaves a big gap and people cut in all the time. Used to work much better…

Note that this update and nerfing is “just” for AP1. AP2+ has been like this for quite a while in Europe. While it sounds bad with these changes, AP2 still works amazingly well in Europe.

Does it work?

The automatic wipers seems to work much better in this release. At least on my 20 mins drive through moderate rain it was just right. Unlike this morning before I installed this update (was on 2018.46.2) where I had to manually press for an extra swipe every now and then.

I could connect an hour ago with latest app and 6.1 update, but not right now. Maybe a more general issue.

I have mine set to low always. Avoids the acceleration shudder mentioned in another thread. Also better handling in low.

I saw In another thread that you need premium package for the double-click on the keyfob to open the front doors. I have premium package and it works. Also I really like the auto present of the driver door. Works really great in most situations.

That seems like a very good assumption. Especially since the Design studio under Enhanced Autopilot says: Qoute ... and to see fast-approaching vehicles in adjacent lanes. End-Qoute That will require the two side rear facing cameras.

No I did not. Due to tax reason in Denmark I was advised to get it activated after delivery, as it allowed me to save around $500. However that seems to not been that good advise in this situation as I now have to pay around $3000 more, depending on what Tesla ends up doing for people that...

My DS just confirmed that my Model X, which entered production state on Saturday 15th (or maybe it was Friday), will include the new hardware. However it seems I will need to pay the higher fee to get it activated.

I think that people who spend a lot of time on this forum do not belong to most. So just because you expect AP 2.0 is not the same as it will not be the product to be unveiled on Monday.
