    Europros vs Criswell Collision

Thank you - to be honest, he is one of the reasons I am leaning towards them over Europros. He was very pleasant when I went there and took the time to explain the work to be in detail and was in general reassuring - just his body language and personality I guess. I didn't feel that way at...

    Europros vs Criswell Collision

Looks like I posted this in the wrong forum earlier and I am sorry for cross posting across forums. I hate it when others do it - so, I can imagine. I am leaning towards Criswell based on my experience. Any strong objections? ******************************** Hello, I posted on the forum...

    Model S - Door Damage

CuriousG, Just trying to understand - why is it a concern? He said many of those cars are waiting on parts. Anyway, here is another update. I received the quote from Europro - $4300 (Criswell quoted $3,300). Criswell thought if there is more underlying damage to the quarter-panel, it could be...

    Model S - Door Damage

Thanks for all the comments. Here is another quick update. I went to Criswell Collision Center in Annapolis today - surprisingly, I had a much better experience than Europros. Kevin was much more accessible - took the time to explain all the work that needs to be done, told me it wasn't a big...

    Model S - Door Damage

Thanks for all the feedback and sorry for being MIA last evening. Here is the current update. I took it to Europro in Gaithersburg who got better reviews than Criswell in Annapolis. 1. "Tom" thinks the door needs to be replaced and said it would around approx 4k-5k. He said he would write it up...

    Model S - Door Damage

Thx 2krazykats and electro man. Electroman, what do you recommend then ? Get an estimate from a bodyshop and then call insurance to ask how my premium would change with that expense on file ?

    Model S - Door Damage

Yes Andy - I am planning to get it fixed. (1) Will the insurance company be okay with me taking it only to Tesla approved body shops? Also, one of the local body shops (Europro) has better reviews than Criswell. Not sure if the insurance company would be okay with taking the vehicle there (2)...

    Model S - wi-fi initializing

Thanks Andy. But for me to change any wifi information (or add a new SSID), the wifi center should be initialized, right? Otherwise, how would I even add a new wifi entry? for example, if I want to add something at work.

    Model S - Door Damage

Put in a new door? Wow - now, I am officially freaked out. What am I in for? Would the insurance typically cover it all - except for the deductible of course. There are a couple of Tesla authorized bodyshops in the area. Should I get an estimate from them first before I involve the insurance?

    Model S - wi-fi initializing

I am trying to get over my recent post about the door damage. Trying not to think about it :). Oh well.. So, have been parking the car in the garage for the past couple of weeks and realized today that it hasn't been connecting to my home wifi. I do remember setting it up as soon as I brought...

    Model S - Door Damage

So, there is no better way to say this! I have a 2 two week old Tesla (picked up on 12/31) and I caused back door damage. I feel like c*ap and I have been driving for 15 years and never had such a bad lapse in judgment. It is in back rear door and I think it is pretty bad. It was in a parking...

    Just ordered an inventory MS

Actually, it is not. It is coming from a pretty large dealership in Tysons Corner, VA. The discount amount is still a mystery though! Thanks for the update on insurance. I will look around.

    Just ordered an inventory MS

Just a quick update - 1. Alliant process was super simple! Impressed how easy they made the processs 2. Took the GAP insurance offered by Alliant. 3. Still don't know why they offered the $100 discount - old build? Base price is $71K (and not 73K). Any other reasons? 4. Insurance quotes are...

    Just ordered an inventory MS

Thanks Rockster. I contacted Alliant today and I was offered GAP insurance and I will probbaly take it. Another observation is that they are offering a $100 discount - I wonder why (the sales-rep didn't know). It was driven for 15 miles in total. He checked - so, it is pretty much brand new...

Thanks Ormond and I got the PM as well. Already used the referral but thanks again. I will post pics :)

    Just ordered an inventory MS

Looks like the US Bank rate is not applicable for Maryland residents. Alliant is the only option available from Tesla partnership perspective at 1.99%. My credit union is offering 1.99% as well. But I would rather go with Alliant since they know Tesla process better and Tesla knows their process

Thanks NikeWings - I hope so too! Hopefully the loan and stuff will all work itself out in the next couple of days.

    Just ordered an inventory MS

Thanks Double! Alliant's rate is now at 1.99% and looks like there are other choices at 1.74%.

    Just ordered an inventory MS

Thanks. I just looked at the roofs in the design studio. The glass-roof is 1 big piece of glass ($1500) and the sunroof has a pillar in between and supports satellite radio ($2000). So, what am I getting - this is an inventory car before the roof changed. Sorry - I am not usually this thick...

    Just ordered an inventory MS

That is correct and hence the urgency. But to be honest, for the right car, I would have waited another month at least - I really don't think you need to wait full 3 months and we might get something close to our original configuration sooner in inventory anyway (just my personal opinion)...

    Just ordered an inventory MS

Thanks Slimshadist - trying to see if I can find any pictures explaining the difference between both the pano glass roof and the new options. Couldn't visualize it easily. Thanks for your feed back. Dennis, thank you - I am really hoping it doesn't have too many miles on it. I know it is...

    Just ordered an inventory MS

All, Thanks for all your guidance. Just ordered a Model S this evening. Here are the specs - 1. Metallic Black. I was fine with regular black but this color was in the inventory at a dealership close-by and I was always a sucker for the metallic colors. 2. Next gen black seats - really liked...

Ordering inventory car vs custom order

Thank you for the clarification regarding the car price and the smart suspension. I will probably drive the car with and without suspension to see the difference. I currently drive Audi Q5 and just got a loaner car (A3). I am surprised how low it feels and how close it is to the ground. I am...

Ordering inventory car vs custom order

I was getting the discount because of the car build date - I think it was before the price increase. I am not in the habit of switching cars. The previous car I owned for 6 years and the current car I have been driving for 6.5 years. I am just concerned about the software being obsolete and...

Ordering inventory car vs custom order

I couldn't clearly get the information from the advisor's email but I think it is 5YJSA1E22GF168448 ****************************** Thank you Justgo. Do you see any problems in lowering the battery pack size and removing FSD rather than trying to build a car with those specs directly? I will...

Ordering inventory car vs custom order

Hello, We live near Baltimore, MD and I was working with a sales advisor in DC but looks like she left Tesla. I talked to the new rep and he was helping me get a Model S. When I asked him to check on inventory models for the P60D with the configuration I was looking for, he said he couldn't find...
