Because in that video there's a 2" gap above the steering column. It's definitely not fixed like that since it has been shown in numerous other pictures as being right up against the dashboard.

Why would they be? Elon tweeted there would be more info today that's all. It's not likely that means anything more than more info. It could be the announcement that the release event is dd/mm/yy or something completely unrelated. Not something that the sales team needs to be informed about though.

I'm pleased to see there is nighttime testing in unlit areas. I have real concerns over the reflections from the screen on the roof making driving in the dark quite difficult.

Sticky tape is way cheaper than bolts, welding or any other fastening method. Maybe the screws are an optional extra.

But that just means he could have fitted steering wheels and an iPad to the Dragon capsule.
