Another update on my Hyundai!
Almost no phantom drain!
I parked my car 2 weeks ago before going on a trip and have lost 7 miles while parked. Yes, SEVEN miles over 2 weeks
I had a Model 3 rental on my trip that lost 7% (18 miles) overnight!
Amazingly, near ZERO drain.

It's from the added hp avaliable. But, in reality, in Eco driving mode, the front axle completely disconnects and you get the same range as RWD.
The ranges are MUCH closer in real world than Tesla rated range.
The added features of the Limited. Specifically, surround view cameras enhanced Highway Driver Assist, and ventilated front seats.
The added range of the SE is purely from their 18" wheels vs 20". If the added range becomes an issue then I'll buy a set of the 18s
In reality, the range is...
I sold my 2014 S 85 with 238,000 miles. Charged to 229 miles but only 63 kWh usable.
I bought a Hyundai Ioniq 6 Limited.
GREAT car. 305 miles rated range with 74k Wh usable 77 kWh battery. I can actually get 270 miles. Interestingly that is with charging to only 4.15 MaxV. So, it charges FAST...
The list was controlled by Tesla. The attorneys could only check individual VINs.
Going from 256 rated to 244 miles was NOT the effect of the update. We went from about 250 miles to 217 miles. 17% loss virtually overnight.
Tesla pushed this update to about 1,700 cars in the USA (about 2% of the...
I have heard from a few that have not received their settlement check.
I have forwarded their details (VIN and contact information) to the lawyers.
Most people that I personally knew involved have received their payment.
This is one of my personal disappointments with this process that the...
Agreed that there is no recall concerning this. The Tesla fires were cited in my lawsuit as the likely reason for the voltage capping. However, I cannot confirm or deny that this is the case from our discovery.
I DO believe this SHOULD be a recall.
I also believe that Tesla SHOULD do a recall...
I live in Victorville where the Temps have been around 100 for most of July.
I have supercharged many times from very low SOC (2 to 10 MILES). It starts at 128 kW and drops to 110-SOC over the first 5 minutes.
I haven't lost AC at all during that time.
I can get from 2 to 80% in less than an...
I don't have any more details available yet. Just a few cars that he has seen were subjected to sudden reduced range (capacity). Those with MCU1 he was able to reverse.
The settlement was approved by the court. There will be an appeal period for objectors to make their case. Then, Tesla will fund the settlement and it will be distributed.
IF anyone has not received the settlement notice and believe they should have, then contact the settlement administrator...
The May 2019 update reduced range from about 250 miles to about 220 miles. You experienced about 1/3 of that and likely was not one of the affected cars.
As Droschke said, final hearing is Thursday (tomorrow) morning.
There is a web link in there for anyone that wants to listen in to the procedure.
From the filings there is ONE opting out and ONE objection to the settlement out of 2,000 people contacted relating to,1743 vehicles.

Also, live user entered data.

Jason Hughes determined each cell in the 85kWh pack has 11.36Wh (thus the whole pack had 80.7kWh).
11.36Wh at 4.2volts is 2,704mah. But the nominal voltage for 18650 cells is 3.7 volts (usable 3.2 to 4.2 volts).
So, 11.36Wh / 3.7V = 3,070mah per cell. Clearly NOT std Panasonic 18650 cells...

The datasheet specifies a fast charge, which is 4000 mA constant current, then 4.2 V constant voltage, then cut off at 100 mA, which is a C/25 charge termination.
We did discuss the option to get the warranty extended. That was a non-starter by Tesla lead counsel (per Musk direction).
My lawyers also said there was is no case law supporting extending the warranty.
My lawyers DID say they would pursue a case where the battery failed shortly after the...
You are correct that the 350 volt 85kWh packs are made from 14 modules that are in 100kWh packs. There are many more cells in each of those modules.
A non 100kWh car is not physically capable of accepting a complete 100kWh pack (size and weight constraints).
Tesla did not respond to that portion of the lawsuit. That multiplier has not changed since before the lawsuit. So, they have not manipulated iit further.
Since the early cars had no degradation coverage, the manipulation I discovered still wouldn't legally apply.
There is no correlation between high supercharging and limited charging now.
My 2014 S85 with 200,000 miles can now charge to 237 miles and I have supercharged about 75% (50 MWh on DC).
The only way to independently see if you are capped is to use ScanMyTesla (or equivalent). Tesla service will...
Your link is an independent review, not an advertisement. The batteries ARE within all apecs after the restoration of capacity.
Yes, there are a few (about 20l that have not been restored. They will be investigated as part of this settlement agreement.
There is no warranty coverage for...
The Norway case is under appeal after Tesla did not show up for the municipal court hearing on 32 cars.
The Denmark case involves 75 cars.
I don't know any relased China cases.
This comes from Tesla data.
This also matches my own anecdotal survey of the hundreds of people that I spoke to at superchargers from June-Sept 2019.
Affect cars are those that had their battery capped only.
Slow charging is a completely separate issue.

Understood.
Tesla has not said what can be done in such cases.
I think the best advise is to schedule with a Service Center.
They SHOULD be able to resolve things now that the whole story is known (at least internally).
