I just had the same issue appear on my instrument panel. Took it to the SC and they ordered new display. They told me it's a common problem covered under my CPO.

I would double check with the service center. I purchased private party that was just purchased as a CPO 4 months prior. I did not pay a fee to transfer the remaining CPO warranty. But as we have heard on this forum not all service centers are on the same page.

Then why not PM if your looking out for him and not just being a troll. Also depending on the purchasers state private party might not pay tax. For example in my state it's almost 9% savings plus the possible 2k in delivery fees from Tesla. No need to point out things on a thread to try and...

I purchased mine from Craigslist after lots of research about the car. It came with a CPO warranty as well. In NV no sales tax on private party. So i got the remaining initial 8 year battery and drive and the 3.5 remaining CPO. They are around if you look. And the patience can save you...

I bought my 2014 85 with AP1 in May off Craigslist for 50K. It was a CPO he just bought in Jan so it still had a great warranty with it. They are out there for that price, very limited, but possible. Good luck.

So after researching the forum I have only found a few topics on the subject. It seems that switching out for aftermarket wheels, suspension links or coils, or other mods will void the warranty for the area around the aftermarket parts. And yes i know about the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act...

I ended up going with LLUMAR CTX 5% on the rear and 15% up front. On the front windshield I had the clear Air Blue 80. It is ceramic so it has the uv and heat blocking properties. I also had Xpel clear bra on the whole front clip. Then covered the whole car with Gtechniq Pro and Exo.

Man that is a total bummer. I was hoping that speed limiting on more roads wasn't true. I guess I'll hold off on the install for now. Thanks for the info.

It worked. Here are a few pics after the Qtechniq, Xpel, and tint was applied.

Has anyone installed the newest update and noticed any speed limiting changes to AP1? Reading some other threads it sounds like that might be a problem. I haven't installed it yet waiting to hear from other AP1 users.
