So we paid almost double price for TMS/X, we have the same hardware MCU2/FSD and we don't get the new features (live view / blind spot camera), but cheaper 3/Y does... I quess my next 100k will not go to Tesla, even if the competition car will have no upgrades during its life cycle.

It's a failure to recognize Europe vs US setup. It happens from time to time in Europe, that you get the other screen (US) and you don't need to hold the buttons to move the car.

Even with 19" wheels you'll get premature inside tire wear. The efficiency gained is just theoretical. Based on my experience I suggest to go to low only when speeding on the highway.

Dashcam / Sentry is AP HW not MCU related. More games, Netflix, and so on is MCU related.

You are not missing anything as it is a pretty useless feature at least in Europe. Either it doesn't connect to the car at all, or the car doesn't move, or it moves and stops. Instead of trying again and again to finally succeed after one minute, its much easier to squeeze yourself into the car...

Was your car plugged in? Did the battery heating icon appear in the app immediately when turing on the cabin heating?

No. Both are same crap, no more supported by Tesla. The only gain will be yellowing mcu instead of bubbling and leaking one...

So Tesla cancelled my appointments without any explanation and the app/car connection was working flawless till then. However the next morning after installing the 40.2.1 the problem came back. Again the car shuts off the gsm module during overnight sleep and cannot be woken up by the app...

Same problem here. After sleeping overnight the car loses gsm connectivity and is no more accessible via the app. Few minutes afterr entering the car the gsm fires up and works flawlessly till the next morning.

Tesla batteries are degrading in the similar fashion like all the other manufacturers. The non existing degradation is a myth based on comparing rated miles at % charge. This number changes all the time with various updates and is useles when considering battery degradation.

Thats exactly the point. The longer they wait, the less cars they need to upgrade. From the current Tesla approach to the existing customers I'm pretty sure, that they'll wait indefinitely, means just sit and watch, maybe do some slight promisses and excuses and let the old MCU1 cars fade out...

Only screens made late 2016 are experiencing the yellowing ring. Older screens had its own issues. (leaking goo, bubbles)

So its very accurate but you actually never completely discharged and charged the battery to be able to confirm it. So again, how do you know that it is accurate? Or did I miss some other way how do you confirm the available (nominal or usable) capacity?

Sorry, but this is a false statement. There is zero relation between battery degradation and rated miles at 90%. As I said, rated miles at 90% are based on the usable kWh value reported by BMS. You can do a simple test. Deplete the battery by driving and then let it discharge by running cabin...

BMS reported nominal capacity is of course estimation and equals the new battery total capacity ONLY when new as it changes with time and use.

You don't get the point. Predicted range equals usable kWh remaining multiplied EPA range. So it has to be spot on. But the actual usable kWh is pure BMS estimation. Unless you discharge the battery slowly to BMS shut down voltage and charge it back to 100%. So any assumptions based on BMS...

BMS numbers are rough estimate. Nothing to do with real capacity.

During winter tires swap I've found this small screw loose. All other wheels have as well just 1 screw. Is there really ment to be just 1 screw or are all the others already missing? Whats the meaning of this screw?

I bet after a few months, Tesla will call it an esthetic issue and will stop replacing it. Same crap they did with yellowing MCU. I love the car, but I'll be really tempted to try a different EV next time. Just because Tesla pisses on its customers and even don't call it rain.
