GPS issue since the past few weeks

Well, the SC is standing firm on the windshield tint being the issue/cause of the GPS interference. Looks like I will have to remove the tint to even just have them troubleshoot this further...

GPS issue since the past few weeks

Hello I have a 2018 TM3 LR with no issues with GPS until a few weeks ago, at most, a month. This happens intermittently, but regularly if that makes sense. It happens at least a couple of times daily when driving where it shows the car's current location off by anywhere between 50-500 ft or so...

    Supercharger - Henrietta, TX

Yes, should have quoted his reply, but I was replying to qdubb254 since he was coming east and i would be going west so that would make a difference even if both estimates were coming from the Tesla NAV. Will report back how it went once I get there, but it looks more and more that I could rely...

    Supercharger - Henrietta, TX

I guess it is getting closer to being formally announced, adding billing is a good sign.

    Supercharger - Henrietta, TX

Going East, you are losing altitude so that would be easier than what I am going to do (going west gaining elevation). But, i will put this in the Tesla NAV and see what it has to say, so far I am only checking ABRP estimates.

    Supercharger - Henrietta, TX

Is this the Rocking A RV Park in Vernon close to the Walmart? I see it only has 1 NEMA 14-50? I was looking at the Coyote Ranch Resort in Wichita Falls as another fallback.

    Supercharger - Henrietta, TX

Oh, forgot to mention, I added 200lbs extra weight and 5mph headwinds in ABRP, 50F outside temp...

    Supercharger - Henrietta, TX

Which car do you have? My ABRP plan shows I won't make it to Childress unless I slow to 58mph even if i charge up to 95% at Denton SC. I will be heading from DFW to Amarillo and onto NM this Saturday as well. Debating on whether to: 1) charge up in Denton and head straight to Childress (ABRP...

    Texas Hold Up!

In one word, 'horrendous' at communicating, answering/replying, always full voicemail. Utterly useless. I spent more time on hold and talking to other folks via regular support #....

    Texas Hold Up!

Hmm, that's interesting, I had gone to drop off a friend who was getting his MS tinted and I just asked him how much he would charge for the Model 3, and he said the same as for Model S, which was $1500 or so. Maybe he said that since I was with my MS owner friend?

@agastya I was just about to post/ask this same exact thing, I am in for either or both, depending on cost.

Not getting paint protection film for your Model 3?

@SesameCrunch I was looking for a pre-cut kits for the Model 3 for Suntek Ultra. I didn't see any listed on their website. XPEL has them on their site. I am planning on getting a full front (full hood, full fenders, headlights and mirrors) Suntek Ultra installed by a pro, but I am leaning...

PPF installer recommendations in DFW area? Or Texas

Looking for recommendations for PPF installer, preferably in DFW area, but Austin/Houston/SA would work too. Also, do they normally include paint correction (if needed) in the prices they quote? Thanks KG

    Plano Service Center coming soon

Wow, this is excellent news. I would just move over from going to the BMW dealership to Telsa now...ha ha... Timing is perfect for a glut of Model 3 owners.

    Model S - Window Tinting

Is Photosync worth all that? I just got a couple of quotes in TX for 35% sides/rear and 75% windshield, both around $1200! This is insanely expensive compared to my previous car Huper Optic Ceramic for $380.

    Texas Hold Up!

Wow, that was quick! Had heard of other reports of instant VIN allocation. Congrats!. No VIN for me yet, configured today as well. So it looks like Aero's are going to take longer to get VIN?

    Texas Hold Up!

Nice, enjoy the inflated balance for now ;-) I will just wait a couple of weeks and then talk to Lightstream, while (im)patiently awaiting my configure email...:-(
  24. K

    Texas Hold Up!

Wow, thanks for the electric :-) fast response!
  25. K

    Texas Hold Up!

@zkmusa @ummgood : I just called RBFCU to request an approval letter so I can use that to get Lightstream to match the rate. But what RBFCU sent me just has the loan amount and date requested, no term or rate. After speaking to them again, they said they don't have anything they can send me...
  26. K

    Texas Hold Up!

Excellent rundown @ummgood on RBFCU process. I got a little ahead of myself and locked the 1.95% rate with RBFCU before I got my configure invite, thinking the configure invite should be within a couple of weeks judging by the batches of people being invited and also wanting to lock the rate...

Electrician in DFW Area for HPWC and/or NEMA install

Thanks to all that responded to my requests, just wanted to update you on my NEMA install. I got my own permit, had an electrician do the install and the city inspector then came out to inspect and passed the inspection, he just took a quick look! All in, including permit fees, it came out to...

    Texas Hold Up!

Wow, lot of activity here, congrats to all fellow TX soon-to-be-M3-owners! I patiently await mine, I might have gotten a little excited and ahead of myself after hearing non-owner config emails going out yday and have locked in my RBFCU loan, but I don't have my config email yet! I have 90 day...

US Federal $7,500 Electric Vehicle Credit Expiry Date By Automaker

Is there any way to know for sure what the delivered vehicles (S, X, 3) count is for Tesla @ end of Q4, 2017 or to-date? With the most recent delay, I am trying to figure out my chances of still getting the full 7500 credit (1st day line waiter, non-owner)
  31. K

Non-owners, did you get invite to configure?

Day 1 line waiter. Dec-Feb window, waiting (im)patiently.... Trying to stay busy until then by getting NEMA 14-50 installed, buying accessories etc..:) Quick Q: If I get invite to configure, and I decide to wait for white interior (assuming it's not available when I get invite), I assume/hope I...

Protective film on Model 3 ?

@outdoors, where are you located? that's not a bad price for FULL car XPEL. Could you ask him how much for full front? ( Full Hood, Full Fenders, Front Bumper & Side Mirrors, lights)

Electrician in DFW Area for HPWC and/or NEMA install

Rick, Would it be possible to PM me or reply to this message with the updated list from FB? I am not on FB and would rather not join FB just to get this list. Thanks. KG

    Red vs Blue

I have the same question as well. Are all the other paints NOT multiple coats? If so, that alone makes me want the red and white. I am assuming multiple coats will be more durable.
  35. K

    Red vs Blue

I like these 2 colors the most as well. But, IMO, if you are going to go with aero wheels, the red looks a bit better with those than the blue. Since I will be sticking with the aeros, I would have to say Red.

Equifax breach and getting a loan

Thanks Jeff, just did Innovis as well, pleasant surprise is Innovis was free...(as the others should be)
  37. K

Equifax breach and getting a loan

Same here, put on a freeze on all 3 agencies. I have inquired with my credit union and they use 1 agency in particular. So I will un-freeze only that agency when the time comes. No need to pay to unfreeze all 3 when all that is required is the one your loan institution is going to use.

Anyone not getting Enhanced Autopilot (EAP)?

I am on the fence as well, not sure if there is enough usage for me to pay $5000 up-front. However, the additional $1000 if activated in the future sucks! So, my question is: will i pay taxes if I activate EAP later? That way, at least I can take some of the bite of the additional $1000 out if...

Electrician in DFW Area for HPWC and/or NEMA install

hulk, what is the quote they gave you? I got $380 from Fox for 14-50 right under the panel. I know another member (gatsowatts in this thread) has theirs done from Fox for $300. Not sure why mine is more expensive, maybe Fox has raised their prices?

Electrician in DFW Area for HPWC and/or NEMA install

Hmm, thanks Bolar, looks like I will have to bite the bullet and go for another electrician who includes the permitting/inspection....
  41. K

Electrician in DFW Area for HPWC and/or NEMA install

Actually, want to ask, do you have to have the installer present during inspection? I might try and get the permit (which includes inspection) myself and have an electrician install, but not sure if the electrician will be willing to come back out for inspection (if inspection cannot happen...

Electrician in DFW Area for HPWC and/or NEMA install

Bolar, thanks!, I was thinking this as well to get a permit myself first and then get the $220 guy to install (he has come recommended from the North Texas Tesla Owners group). Permit itself is $45, some installers want to charge as much as $250 for the permit alone!....
  43. K

Electrician in DFW Area for HPWC and/or NEMA install

Have several quotes now, there seems to be a wide spread from $220-$700 for 1 NEMA 14-50 install next to the panel. The cheapest one said I don't need a city permit, but I called my city (Plano) and they said that it is required. So, not sure if I want to go with him now. I know some have done...

Model 3 color and tire combos

Zaphod, Here are the details I obtained from the Tesla recommended guy, I explicitly asked him the gauge of wire, extra cost (if any) for an outlet a bit futher away from my panel (my panel is in the attached garage and is very close to where I will park the M3, the other M3 will be next to this...

Model 3 color and tire combos

Thanks 355rockit, I did get another quote from a regular electrician off of Angies List and he quoted $450 for HPWC hard wired into the panel and $475 for 14-50 outlet. Will keep getting some more quotes.

Model 3 color and tire combos

Question to fellow Dallas folks, do you guys have 14-50/HPWC installed already? I am getting quotes of $650 and up for 14-50 and $800 for HPWC (not counting the HPWC!) from the Tesla recommended electricians. This sounds pricey to me. Who have you guys used? I have 2 M3 reservations, leaning...
