In the next couple years this will be a moot point as a CCS to NACs adapter will exist and all new cars will use NACs and just plug right into the superchargers.

Agreed, I’d like to see more lvl 2 chargers put in at hotels. Being able to charge up overnight is more convenient, better for the car and usually cheaper than supercharging.

Wish this was open this past weekend, used Thomasville instead, could had saved me 5-10 minutes of charging time. Next time I'm sure this and Gastonia will be open.

At this particular location there is room to move around a trailer, I can see that for other locations.

Good morning Boone! First time using the charger, please don’t be this person taking up the pull in stall. Very likely in the future I’ll be towing a trailer up here and will need that stall.

The owner of that station has an EV, might be a Tesla and reached out to Tesla I believe to make the partnership. Personally it’s a great location for a quick stop. I do wish it was updated a little, but I’ve heard that is planned so let’s cross our fingers.

Was just in Boone Friday and no signs of construction. They just added two new lvl2 chargers on King Street and of course are already iced. 2nd photo shows where chargers are planned to be installed.

I just got mine replaced, but had other things worked on as well. They had to wait for a part, so don’t know if this or the other thing. Took a week to get my car back, but I fortunately got a loaner.

Odds this is finished by Saturday? ;) Coming up to Michigan from North Carolina, this would be a great final stop.

It's good to hear they are planning to build more than one in the area. With a 2nd charger near by, that might completely alleviate my concerns.

Agreed, If towing is enforced then I would be a lot less concerned. The time to get to the supercharger would still be annoying, especially during event weekends. If this is trurely the only place that'll work then we have no choice, but I'd really like to know why Makotos wasn't considered.
