Help: Bosch Icon Wiper blades - can't seem to install them!

While this doesn't answer your question, you might want to think about it. I have had a number of cars that would chatter in one direction; I have given the arms/blades small 'nudges' to make the sweep angle 90 degrees both ways.

Tesla is not slacking off with deliveries. WOW!!

Sooner, If you have a service center near, I would suggest just go in with a copy of the email. Do you have 220V to the place where the charger will go. That is what takes time and planning. The charger itself can be hooked up pretty easily.

    impact of new suspension...

Are you talking about a third version of the suspension? There was a big difference between #1 ( up through approx. VIN 2,000) & #2.

I thought we had antilock brakes

I look forward to further info. (I have been skeptical of the electronic brake fix.) I read Consumer Reports article on the brakes. I think it was after multiple, quickly repeated stops; please correct me if I'm wrong. That is not a "real world" situation. Although you might experience it...

    Slacker custom stations not visible

Re: Slacker jamnmon, I have tried to sign up for Slacker on the car, and can't find a way. Do I have to sign up on line and somehow get that account on the car? Thanx,

    Height of Tesla wall charger

I'm going to say it is because the 'regular' length 'cord' is 8'. If you want to wrap the 'cord' around the unit rather than put it in its socket, mounting the unit lower should be fine. However, if you get the longer cord, it will take a lot of wraps, and there may not be room. Get the HPWC...

    A few Model 3 Questions....

Do you manually change your phones by pushing the Bluetooth sign when a different driver gets in the car?

    Phone as Key Issues

Guys, and Gals - My wife and I will join this fight tomorrow AM. While I found this thread a few days ago, it has taken a long time to get through it, and I have, only rarely, found which phone is experiencing the problem for each poster. (Although it does seem to be predominately Android.) I...

    VIN Assignment

    New batch of invites 4/10

Did you ask for &/or get a factory tour? The VIN assignments are wonderfully obscure. I was a 3/31 line waiter, and configured white, aero, & EAP 4/10. I got the VIN 20,xxx last week. I will say that after two overly optimistic "You will get the car between the months X and Y", the March-May...

How many 3/31 line waiters were there?

Thanks, folks. It looks like my memory slipped a gear or two in two years. I mis-stated in my original post; I have my VIN, just not the car yet. It does make sense that one out of two people have either cancelled or are waiting for a version of the car that hasn't been produced yet, but I...

How many 3/31 line waiters were there?

I thought the number was about 150K. Was I wrong? I'm wondering because I seem to be one of the last to get a configuration invitation, and some later 'on-line' people are starting to get cars. The highest VINs that I see are in the 20-21K range. If my numbers are in the ballpark, that would...

Vinnie, I hate to tell you this, but you don't want to put Xpel over fresh paint.

    ANOTHER (DELIVERY CHECKLIST) 1-Page Version

Why will I use the factory supplied 'stick-on'? - - - - There are still too many of 'Park by Feel' drivers out there. If you dare - try to imagine what the front of your new car will look like after some 5000 pound SUV pushes The Law or some such plate holder into the front of your car...

Watch Autoline this week on Thursday

Very interesting. There will be as many opinions of what was said as there are viewers. One opinion I have had for the last two years is that we are all Beta testers. However, if you can hold out for two years, and get a Model 3A, you will get a great car. Weight is the enemy of cost, (for...

    Wiring plans for Model 3

My electrician just ran #6 solid copper through about 90' to a 50A breaker for my HPWC. I paid well South of $200 for the wire and breaker.

    60 Amps vs. 80 Amps

cmaster above quoted c/bs priced from $50 to $155. Home Depot is not noted for carrying the highest quality merchandise, so I would not call their c/b the 'gold standard'. But I would not choose to buy the cheapest available c/b on ebay for this use.

    Phone as Key Issues

Wow! Tesla got that one right! - When he decided to sell only to employees and existing Tesla owners first. I was a line waiter, and I have configured, but probably won't see the car for another month or so. Sincerely, I want to thank you early adapters for smoothing the road for us...

Reminder: your Model 3 is ready to order

Interesting, but just another software bug in an upgrade. We got an invite April 10, did so, and they wanted us to do it again, (for a second car?) today the 15th. We're 5 mins from the local store, so I dropped by. He asked if I was going to pay cash before telling me that the order was...

Why does Tesla hide the ball re total US sales?

Troy, You've certainly put more time and thought into this than anyone. Thank you! But I'm not quite as sure as you that we will get out of Q1 before #200K. What is your estimate that the "in line waiters" will all/mostly be accommodated by the end of September? Thanks,
  23. B

To upgrade panel from 100 to 200 amps or not.

If your house has any hopes of 'upward mobility', the 200A box will pay for itself when you sell.

Steering Wheel Vibration at High Speed

It's rare, but not all tires are round. While many tire stores, and most 'dealers' will deny it, some tires are 'out of round'.

    Model 3's Ride Quality

Has anyone tried lowering tire pressure below 40#? Does the car "allow" it without a constant warning about low tire pressure?

First thoughts on my Model 3 vs. my Model S

RBowen, Car guys think alike. My resume is very similar to yours with 20 years of vintage racing thrown in, so (I think) I know how to interpret what you have told us. I'm doing the studies for the car for my wife because I love learning about new cars & tech. While she has decided that she...

Every other manufacturer starts delivering "next years" cars in Aug.-Sep. These should all be 2018s.

    Owners—anybody miss the Nov-Jan window?

I'm pleasantly surprised that any waiters hit the window. As a non-owner, day one waiter I knew my original date was completely constructed of smoke and mirrors. Now my new March/May???

Speculation: configuration queue for non owner line waiters

Maybe this is why Tesla won't tell us where we stand in line.

    Containment Hold

Newbie, (to this club) here. There is a common thread here. Tesla seems to believe in keeping its staff as ignorant as its customers.

    Suspension work....UPDATE

"Some" shocks can be repaired. Whether that includes Tesla is the question. Check with a local racing shock company; they might be interested, but I doubt that there would be any guarantee.

    Aero wheels in the wild...

I specifically ordered my white Bimmer with dark gray wheels so the brake dust wouldn't look so horrible. I think these 18" wheels look bad because they don't have the Tesla covers for the lug nuts.

First Drive in Mountains -- Angeles Crest Highway

ForeverFree, I have read a couple of professional test drivers calling the ride "stiff". We all know that they have to be very circumspect in how they describe a car. I'm trying to get a 'feel' for the suspension of the Model 3, and you sound like you may have the experience to help guide me...
