    Ordering Process is Bunk

I agree with your frustration, and it is not right to have the customer input money to know if they qualify or not for financing, and perhaps they should provide a rate range based on pre-qual info. This is possible and Tesla has yet to develop this. of course there are always other financing...

Good deal? Possible new Tesla owner here

definitely have them fix it before sale. If it was physically damaged or water intrusion, then Tesla wont cover that under warranty and depending on how many of them are out, that repair could range from $600-$1500 to fix. without the cameras then you have no Autopilot so its pretty crucial to...

BMS_u031 - Battery fuse requires replacement soon - Some questions...?

This is pretty common now, lots of people see it. You don’t necessarily have to do it immediately, I don’t think it’s a safety issue per se. The fuse is covered under the battery factory warranty. I do think Xcare covers it too if you have it.

GEICO needs to SPEAK with Tesla ?

What was the extension for insurance to call? I would recommend looking at XCare for something like this, they know the limitations of Tesla service and work around them.

i always go to Discount for anything tires related.

Extended warranty for 2023 Tesla Model X advice

XCare. longer terms, lower deductible, been around for years and former Tesla folks that created it. lots of feedback on these forums

Bluetooth keeps playing when I walk away

i think i know the problem! this used to happen to me too in my 2022 Model S. I realized that if I opened the liftgate before I opened the door to get out, and then closed the liftgate, the screen and audio would still stay on inside the car. I would then have to open and close the door to have...

    Cybertruck is a scam.

I would prefer a product that can get better over time vs getting stuck with what you get when you take delivery. Now that many other automakers are moving towards OTA and stepping up their chops with software development, i think this new norm.
  9. E

    Cybertruck is a scam.

something to keep in mind, is that there is so much of the software with Cybertruck that is not even out yet. When i got my first Model 3 in 2017, it was a night and day difference after about a year when the firmware was heavily updated. Since i have gotten my Cybertruck, there has already been...

Extended Warranty - Is it violated if I added MPP suspension?

I had UP lowering springs on my previous Model 3, and there was squeaking in the suspension (before i installed the springs) - Tesla originally denied me service in all since I had aftermarket springs. I said that was ridiculous and this problem was happening before i even installed the springs...

Tesla recalls 2 million vehicles to limit use of Autopilot

this is so dumb. We have to stop calling software updates "recalls". No vehicle is being recalled or taken back for correction of anything. oh how the times are not a changin...

    Delivery Day No MVPA?

Unfortunately they have tried to automate the entire delivery process, so if its off for any reason, the entire thing breaks. Even if you were to go in, the Tesla reps are still limited to the automation that is causing the blocker for you. But I think in person is always the best way, as that...
  16. E

    Replacement battery question?

Some actually do, most dont. Thats why if a module fails, it gets automatically swapped with a new or refurbished pack - your old pack gets sent to one of the locations in the region that can do the HV module fix, and then it puts the battery back into circulation. Maybe check your settings to...
  17. E

    Delivery Day No MVPA?

When did you originally receive the trade estimate? There might be value difference which is the reason its taking a bit longer than normal. The normal "delivery" customer support team cant confirm that value for you, that happens on the trade-in side. Best recommendation I have is put added...

    Current MS build quality?

I have a 22 Model S LR, and previously had a M3P. the Model 3 was definitely better build quality, but much more simplistic. I have had rattles that I have now corrected. I also got the steering wheel once that came out. I think the LR is plenty of power, same as the M3P. The brakes are crap...

1/2 price on parts if you have Tesla Insurance ?

I have used this a few times. Last time I used it was getting my windshield replaced and I got 50% off of the part only. I did have to start a claim with Tesla insurance, but with the discount, it was lower than my $1k deductible, so the claim was simply closed and I got the windshield at half...

Lucid Gavity 😲 Awesome.. 440 Mi Range @ about $80K

I'm a fan. I have a friend who has a Lucid Air and they love it. I think this is a really cool vehicle, however, it does look kind of like a Lincoln...I cant unsee it.

N2itive Alignment Kit for Model S

I have a 2022 Model S and had to get new rear tires due wires showing inside the tire at 9k miles. Luckily I went through a tire shop that was able to give me a heavy discount since it wore down too quickly. Unfortuantely Tesla Service was absolutely no help with this issue. I found N2ititve...

How is the co-registrant listed on the title on a new Tesla? Is it "AND" or is it "OR"

this greatly differs by state. some states dont have "or" and some only have "or". some you can choose if its "and" or "or"

Real life experience with Xcelerate warranty?

This makes a lot of sense to me. Luckily I have not had this issue in any of my Teslas. If it did, I would probably just live with it tbh.

What are "straps holding the battery"? Never heard of that...To my understanding, the battery is bolted to the vehicle.

Center horn retrofit for Model S

it was all BS from the start. There is no trigger within the center steering wheel/yoke to trigger a horn.

Tesla Extended Warranty - Worth it?

lol not even close to being similar. The Model 3 (the most simplistic of all Tesla vehicles) has 20k unique parts. It has AC systems, heat pump, windows, seats, wheels, suspension, etc, etc, etc...there are roughly 30-40 unique parts in a smartphone. i hope you are being obtuse stating that...

My battery failed after only 3K miles

Similar situation for me. 2 year old Model Y with 13k miles car was unable to charge fully and its a cluster that failed, so they have to swap the whole thing. However i dont think this issue would repeat once you get a different battery. I dont believe these issues are caused by something other...

    057 Technology

its similar to the Tesla ESA. doesnt cover obvious things like cosmetic things, brakes, tires, fluids, etc. It seems to cover most of expense out of warranty like MCUs, chargers, HVAC, door handles, etc. They have quite a bit of info on their site and on this forums with other experiences. its...

Used Pricing for 2022 Model LR?

If you bought the car used in any way, you are not able to purchase the ESA but there can get XCare which is just as good if not better, and can take you much longer than just 5 years. With the most recent price decreases, no more than $80k since that is new. I would think with the tax credit...

    Extended warranty

Doubt they could cover physical damage or water damage. even Tesla wouldnt cover your battery if physically damaged or flooded. pretty sure you go through your auto insurance for that.

    Occasional shudder

Could be a drive unit replacement needed, or the half shafts need lubing or replacement.

call and ask if they have the factory specs. If they do, then yes, it should be no problem.

    Tesla Offering Wraps and PPF

These costs are insane. so much more expensive than just going to an independent shop. Considering the workmanship that I have seen from Tesla, i wouldnt even want them to install my wrap. I would prefer to go to a shop that is well known.

Tesla Extended Warranty - Worth it?

Couple different reasons - i wasnt able to buy the ESA (because i bought my car used) but i also wanted a longer term. Tesla only offers a 2yr/25k and i would go through 25k miles in a little over a year (i drive a lot with this specific car)
  40. E

Warranty on used cars from Tesla for Drivetrain/Battery also extended?

No, the Used Vehicle warranty only adds a year of the factory limited warranty, not the Battery and Drive Unit. Tesla does not offer any upgrades to battery and drive unit warranty. To my knowledge, XCare is the best route for that.
  41. E

    Insurance

if you are able to get Tesla insurance, i would recommend it. its pretty cheap, and have used them once, and it was pretty easy. Also, if you have Tesla insurance, then you get a 50% discount on parts. So if you have an issue (like a broken windshield) then with the discount, its under your...

Should I remove my tint before?

They wont deny it, but they wont reimburse you to get it re-tinted. I had a air leak in one of my quarter panel glasses that was tinted, and they replaced it under warranty, but would not reimburse me to get it re-tinted.
  43. E

Tesla Extended Warranty - Worth it?

i have used XCare many of times. my service center in IL works with them often. Pretty simple thus far, and have used them a few times in the last few years.
  44. E

    My interaction from CarShield

This is exactly why I went through XCare and did not go the traditional legacy warranty company route. I trust XCare since I have had it for a couple years now - they are former Tesla guys/gals.

Car & Driver: The Mach E is simply better than the Model Y

i do have to say, i really enjoy driving the Mach-E. Its a fantastic vehicle and Ford did an amazing job with their first full BEV. But i definitely would not say its better driving dynamics. The infotainment in the Mach-e is a little slow, harder to use (UX is definitely not as good as Tesla)...

    OEM Tire warranty

From my experience over the years, Tesla does not attempt to get credits back from the tire manufacturer, nor do they have their service advisors try to help the customer to limit their cost incase a tire wears down faster than it should. Of course, every service advisor is different and has...

2023.12.9 Can Anyone Interpret This Feature?

"Creep" is what it feels like driving an automatic transmission in an ICE. When you release the brake from a stop light, the car creeps forward without you having to touch the gas pedal. Creep turned off, is like driving a manual transmission in an ICE. When you release the brake from a stop...

    One Pedal Driving

word on the street says apparently the ability to regulated regen is coming back to all cars. I dont have the option on my Model S either. But honestly, I would learn to drive well with the regen. It ads range, uses FAR less of your brakes (so you dont have to worry about brake changes) and its...
