Deliveries will be starting soon we hope. Wanted to start a Canadian thread for the 2024 Model 3 Performance. My EDD is sitting at Aug 14th - Sept 25th. Ordered a few days after it was announced. White exterior, black interior.

I would imagine the logistics, locations, trims, and volumes would make managing a proper “next in line system” nearly impossible. They likely don’t even try initially.

Man. How can they claim such a low time, when it’s that far off from possible.

Ouch. That’s into Q4. ! Well, the good news, is these dates really mean nothing. US orders have been flip flopping on dates constantly. I really feel our orders will be Q3 or earlier. When did you order it. ?

Seeing more USA deliveries being pushed back to the date range we were given here in Canada. (July-Aug). I hope that doesn’t mean we will be pushed even further into Q4…

I’m with you there. That’s a long wait, when you want the car now. :) I really hope the date range shortens, but if we go by past trends, North America traditionally gets their cars late in the quarter, as they fulfil Europe first. Logistics and variable have changed though, so who knows. We...

Those different designs are not performance cars. They’re LR, SR, etc.

Ya, those are large differences for sure. Awesome to see. I think it’s safe to say, the LG won’t fair as well. How close they are we will see. It would be pretty disappointing, if the new M3P (LG pack) has similar stats to the original M3….

US M3P just increased the range gap with the recent increase to 303 miles for US cars. .. Would it have killed Elon to add 3 more kw/h’s to the national M3P Cars. ? Huge Tesla fan, but this really doesn’t feel good.

I hope the tariffs President Biden put on Chinese batteries doesn’t impact deliveries outside the US. Could even affect US deliveries, if Elon shifts all production for everyone to the US as a result. That would stall all deliveries.

Hmm wonder what that update is. I wouldn’t imagine it’s just software, because they don’t need to hold back cars for that kind of an update. Or maybe they just said that, because they were running behind.

I’m in Ontario Canada. I’ll likely burn through the summers, then get a second set of rims. One for winter tires, and one set for all seasons. That’s my current set up.

Hopefully we will have a better sense of delivery timelines of new M3P cars in the next 4-6 weeks. US deliveries should be happening any day now. Can’t wait to see more videos of its performance. Would be nice to see a head to head of the LG and Panasonic models as well.

Not sure about the reflectors. I would imagine they’re the same. The matrix/adaptive headlights are in all new teslas.

This is a lug nut cover problem. Not a lug nut problem. He describes pushing the nut in. Can’t do that with a nut. They turn. :)

Sounds like you’re describing the plastic lug nut covers. Just push it in. Those pose no risk. Other than losing one if it falls off. They rarely fall off once pushed in.

Awesome to see some delivery dates are being met. That’s a great sign. Also, Canadians are getting Chinese made Teslas just like Europeans. So I’m hoping that means Canadians will see deliveries soon also !!

Canadian orders are showing July. However today the service advisor told me they are expected in December. (In Canada) I’m hoping he’s misinformed, or guessing. …

I wonder if the new 2024 model 3 performance has been built with a wiring harness installed for a future front camera. I have a feeling all Teslas will eventually get a front camera. It would be nice to know if it can just be installed when they come out.

So it seems the LG battery in the 2024 model 3 performance is slower to charge, dishes out less power, and has a smaller battery pack. (79kwh vs 82kwh. ) Do we know if the LG battery has less longevity, or degrades quicker. ? I was thinking of buying one here in Canada, but honestly, the less...

I grabbed the boost for my 2018 model 3. Lots of fun. Definitely feel the difference, and I really haven’t felt any range difference from pre-boost. There are so many variables that affect range, that I’m not sure I would notice anyway. Go for it.

I don’t supercharge a lot. I charge mostly at home, but I don’t recall ever seeing (even recently) a $25-$30 fee. Are you comparing a $6-$7 fee at 5 year old pricing, starting at 50% charge to 80% charge; to prices today from 5% to 100% charge?

I agree there are loads of bad drivers. But insurance for those drivers go up on their own. Opting into this is short term gain for some demographics. But that will be short lived also, once they get more adopters. Your rates will go up. They are banking on this long term strategy. :)

Short term benefits for some, for sure. You will eventually pay for not caring about the long term, or others, when they change the parameters of how they “feel you need to drive” to continue to get those same discounts. It WILL happen. :)
