    NEM-PS Annual True-Up Calculation [PG&E example]

I was thinking the negative energy charges wouldn't offset the fixed portion of the bill, but I haven't read the details to figure it out.

    NEM-PS Annual True-Up Calculation [PG&E example]

https://www.sacbee.com/news/politics-government/capitol-alert/article288420595.html $298.80 in fixed charges annually starting late next year. A big win for PG&E, CPUC and the governor (who signed it off in 2022)

    NEM-PS Annual True-Up Calculation [PG&E example]

I started getting a new energy statement (blue and white bill) with additional details compared to before. The black and white bill is nowhere to be found. Is this an update everyone is getting? I liked the B&W bill because it showed my monthly NBCs, whereas this newer B&W bill is not as...

EAP owners.. are you spending $2k to get FSD?

That has nothing to do with the computer upgrade.

EAP owners.. are you spending $2k to get FSD?

I read the transcript and I didn't see Elon's reply indicating no. I only read the following referencing FSD transfer: Martin Viecha OK. A couple of more questions. So, our favorite, can we make FSD transfer permanent until FSD is fully delivered with Level 5 autonomy? Lars Moravy -- Vice...

Charge on Solar enabled... how to override and charge from grid when needed without disabling Charge on Solar first?

Thanks! How about charging to 100% from grid (for roadtrips), it seems that is not possible unless I turn off Charge on Solar :/

Charge on Solar enabled... how to override and charge from grid when needed without disabling Charge on Solar first?

Doesn’t seem to let me do that. I tap start charging and the car won’t charge from the grid if there is not enough solar.
  8. T

EAP owners.. are you spending $2k to get FSD?

True but who knows what price FSD will be at that point. Whereas now I can lock in the $2k price and use the FSD features.

Charge on Solar enabled... how to override and charge from grid when needed without disabling Charge on Solar first?

The issue is when I toggle Charge on Solar off, it's not easy to toggle Charge on Solar back on since it doesn't appear in the app all the time. Is there a way to override and charge the car from the grid when Charge on Solar is enabled?

Does $2k upgrade from EAP to FSD include upgrading CW 2.5 to FSD computer for free?

Keep pushing on it. Initially I was told the computer upgrade would be customer pay too.

Does $2k upgrade from EAP to FSD include upgrading CW 2.5 to FSD computer for free?

Same situation as you. I put in a service request for computer upgrade last night, I was told if I buy FSD the computer upgrade would be free.

EAP owners.. are you spending $2k to get FSD?

I have a 2018 Model 3. I’m tempted to purchase so there is possibly another window of time in the future where I can transfer FSD to a new vehicle. That way my $5k sunk cost can be recovered. What’s your thought process for those that have already purchased EAP?

Supercharger - Milpitas, CA - Dempsey Rd (under construction Feb 2024, 11 V3 stalls)

Are they planning to install the superchargers in the middle of the parking lot? It's an unusual location since those are prime parking spots for actual Burger King customers, I'd imagine a lot of non-teslas will end up parking there and blocking the spots, though Teslas can park on the...

    NEM-PS Annual True-Up Calculation [PG&E example]

Are you in a community choice aggregration program? My 2nd true up will occur in April with San Jose Clean Energy, so that may be why PG&E B&W bill isn't indiciating any credits for excess energy generation. I have access to cheaper charging at work combined with limited time unlimited...

    NEM-PS Annual True-Up Calculation [PG&E example]

No mention of export surplus credits yet. Last year my system generated 9.3 MWh and I consumed 8.1 MWh (including car charging). I ended up adding a second powerwall, so I am considering running more appliances like my washer/dryer during part peak / peak to limit my NBCs. It’s good that you...

    PG&E EV2A rate went up by 20% March 1

MDC going up to $0.39167 is what caught my eye. Assuming NBCs are $.0313 (anyone confirm?) then we can pull 4567 kWh from grid annually without additional charges.
  18. T

    NEM-PS Annual True-Up Calculation [PG&E example]

Yup, net exporter here. I did export everything from time to time to participate in grid-energy saving program. But for the most part, it's just letting solar charge up my powerwalls (I added a second one late last year) and exporting the excess back to the grid. Otherwise, I don't pull any...

    NEM-PS Annual True-Up Calculation [PG&E example]

Just had my second true up with PG&E. I fumbled on managing my NBCs this year so I had to pay $8 extra. If I don't normally charge my cars during the daytime with excess solar NBCs would have been much much higher.

If the physical space is already blocked off and trenching already started does that count as construction or still permit stage?

USA MY RWD has soft limited LR battery!

Awesome! Purchasing MY in Dec turned out to be a very wise decision, given it's actually just a software limited battery so we can charge to 100% without hurting the battery, plus before Tesla downgraded the audio system from premium to "custom"

    How many PCS have failed?

Yup, there were destination chargers where I used to charge at 48A with my LR RWD 3. Not sure at what point mine failed since my charging rate as home (before wall connector) was 24A. Thanks, Jason

    How many PCS have failed?

my 2018 LR RWD 3 has PCS error too. I’ve been charging at 24A and didn’t notice it until I got the wall connector installed this month. Maxes out at 32A. We are expected to pay for it out of pocket after the 4 year limited warranty?

Adding wall connector to main panel instead of sub panel.. can't see energy usage in app

Yup I’m on TOU plan. When I was testing whether the CT worked it was already part peak, so I inadvertently discovered that’s how it is supposed to work described in post #18.

Adding wall connector to main panel instead of sub panel.. can't see energy usage in app

I texted the installer that came to my house to install my Powerwall expansion last month and explained the situation. I asked him directly to provide a quote for parts and labor and scheduled a visit. I had to pay extra, but it was worth it without having to go thru the pain of getting formal...

Adding wall connector to main panel instead of sub panel.. can't see energy usage in app

oh how cool! I really had no idea that’s how it’s supposed to work after adding CT. I thought CT was just simple monitoring but it is so nice that the powerwalls can still charge my car when connected to the grid (which I won’t though, I’ll be charging during on peak hours when there is excess...

Adding wall connector to main panel instead of sub panel.. can't see energy usage in app

Good news, I got the CT installed so now I am seeing the wall connector power usage in the Tesla app! The odd thing is that the circuit is on the main panel, but when I plugged into my car to draw, the Tesla app indicated it was pulling power from my two powerwalls. Not sure how that is...

Adding wall connector to main panel instead of sub panel.. can't see energy usage in app

Yup, this is the only non backed up load--my wall connector. All other circuits are backed up. WC was installed after the power walls. Thanks for the tip, I will reach out to Tesla.

Adding wall connector to main panel instead of sub panel.. can't see energy usage in app

is it still possible to have Tesla add the CTs after powerwall/solar installation? I wonder what the cost of the service will be.

Adding wall connector to main panel instead of sub panel.. can't see energy usage in app

When they say them.. are you referring to Tesla? If I want to add CT monitoring to the wall connector breaker, can I do that myself (with some educated DIY or explain what needs to be done to a handy friend), or Tesla has to do it? The sub panel with the critical loads (everything but the wall...

Adding wall connector to main panel instead of sub panel.. can't see energy usage in app

It was something I didn't realize or explained until after installation... now if I charge with wall connector I don't see the usage at all in the app, meaning the home usage will be very off. Is there a way to add CT to measure the energy usage from the main panel breakers? The sub panel was...

Currently have powerwall + solar. If I expand the system by adding powerwall, will I see the combined system in the app?

Surprised not to see a discussion thread about the brand new Energy screens / Charts in Tesla app [7.15.2023]

Ok I found another thing I miss from the old graphs. I like to look at the monthly charts and for solar generation it used to indicate average solar generated per day

The y axis got fixed, better now. Now the only thing I miss is the net usage from grid without needing to calculate it myself
