Supercharger - Seattle, WA - 300 NE Northgate Way

At the rear of the structure you can take an “express” ramp directly to the top, and another one back down when you are done. It’s very easy to get to the top.

Supercharger - Sacramento, CA - Delta Shores (under construction Feb 2024, 28 V4 stalls)

A much needed direct highway access gap for those who travel between the PNW and SoCal.

    Supercharger - Leavenworth, WA - US-2 (LIVE 30 Oct 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

Great news for towing our camper to or through Leavenworth form Seattle. The stops were always awkward for me, having to stop in Monroe first on the way to Leavenworth even though Monroe is just 20 miles away. This station will be almost ideal for charging after towing through the mountain...

    Bosal Hitch Adapter Loosening

Hi there, this has been a very informative thread. We are in the process of purchasing a used 2020 X. Does anyone know if the issues originally reported on the 2017 models were remediated by 2020 by the Bosa hitch (or whatever hitch Tesla is using now)? We tow (currently with our model Y) an...

    Model X tow bar question

Thanks. If the seller has lost their hitch receiver, is it an easy replacement to buy from Tesla? Or are they “keyed” to match the bult-in tow bar?

    Model X tow bar question

Thanks. Does that also apply to the 7-pin trailer electrical connector?

    Model X tow bar question

Hi everyone, We're in the market for a 2020/2021 Model X long range Plus and are wondering if all Model X's in this range were sold with at least the tow bar and wiring in place from the factory? (I understand that the actual tow hitch that snaps into the tow bar may not have been sold with...

    Supercharger - Burlington, WA - 9400 Old Hwy 99 N. (under construction Nov 2023, 16 V4 stalls)

I tow our camper to Canada often, and this charger is really the only charger that would allow me to make a single stop ( and not two stops) in order to reach lower BC. I’ve had to awvkardly block the trailer spot in the existing Burlington charger many times before, and it really messes up...

Supercharger - Portland, OR - SW. Broadway (LIVE Feb 2023, 4 V3 stalls)

The parking entrance is on Taylor st. Also once indide there doesn’t appear to be any signage (other than one sign in P2 that seems to actually point the wrong way). The chargers are down on P4. Once there take the elevator up to L2 and walk a block to “Case Study Coffee Rosters”, which was...

Supercharger - Richmond, BC - Steveston Hwy.

The chargers are probably in the pre-production mode that’s fairly common, which is free charging at heavily reduced speeds.

Pacific Northwest Owners (Seattle, Portland, or towns/cities in the region)

Hi everyone, I'm in need of 4 used 19" rims for my older Model S. (I believe the same rims are compatible for most if not all model years for the model S. I'll also soon have four 21" used rims from the same car that I'm going to be able to sell. Please let me know if you have any 19" rims...

    Supercharger - Quincy, WA

This charger will simplify a possible Idaho camping trip from Seattle with my 3400 pound camper.

    Supercharger - Redding, CA (LIVE 11 Oct 2022, 8 V3 stalls)

Why would those chargers not be on PlugShare? Because the PS community just hasn't reported on them yet? These PS L2 listings are critical to me when I book hotels. Especially when driving through Montana or ND and looking for a place to stay at night.

Towing travel trailer with Model Y

After having towed our 3400 pound (loaded) camper for a couple years now, I believe the 3500 pound rating might be more tied to stopping, not accelerating. I have no problems accelerating with the camper, even up some steep WA hills. Where I get nervous is with the braking power (and we even...

    Supercharger - Burlington, WA

We'll be towing a camper and likely stopping here for a charge this weekend. Do we know if the new chargers are configured to allow for pull-in charging (with a trailer hanging off the back of the car)?

    Supercharger - Sutherlin, OR

This site will have over twice as many plugs as the next largest site in either WA or OR. I thought this size of supercharger station was only possible currently between Northern and Southern CA (in the West, anyway). While a station at this site was badly needed to fill in the largest gap...

Supercharger - Ridgefield, WA (LIVE May 2023, 12 V3 stalls)

This looks to be better positioned for freeway access though, not to mention a v3.

    Should I Buy a Used 2013-2014 Tesla Model S?

My 2012 Model S has around 115,000 miles and still drives like a dream with no issues. (The previous owner had the battery and motor replaced in 2015, but the car had maybe 50k miles at the time).

    Supercharger - Federal Way, WA

What's the motivation? Do the cables contain valuable materials, or is it just to spite Teslas/EVs?
  20. A

    Supercharger - Coquitlam, BC

Those new highrises all likely have numerous residential charge points within their garages. Here in Seattle that's a requirement for new construction and presumably the same is true for the forward-thinking Vancouver area.

    Supercharger - Tukwila, WA

Might be another casualty of the ongoing concrete strike.

Towing travel trailer with Model Y

We have a trailer with similar weight metrics, and our camper dealer also told us that weight distribution hitches were not needed with our setup, only sway bars. We’ve towed for several thousand miles now with our Y and have not experienced any sway or rear sagging. I do drive extremely...

    Supercharger - Bellevue, WA

Wasn’t sure exactly which thread to post this in, so this one seemed the closest. Yesterday while driving by the Bellevue Fred Meyer, there was definitely a L3 charging facility going in at the south end of the Fred Meyer parking lot. I couldn’t tell if it was Tesla or EA as I was driving by...

Towing travel trailer with Model Y

How is the power throttle controlled to the trailer wheels? Does the trailer sense the pull on the hitch from the car and power itself accordingly? Or is the throttle wired into the car throttle?

    Supercharger - Sprague, WA

Thanks for the update! A good question to ask these crews are if they are working on any other Tesla projects. They often have a lot of good intel on the status of other projects (even ones we may not know about).

    Supercharger - Issaquah Highlands, WA

The charging infrastructure in BC is amazing. A year ago we went on a trip that wasn't fully covered by superchargers, but there were plenty of chademo chargers along that route that allowed our trip. (Since then that particular route is now served by superchargers.)

Rim repair around Bellevue WA area

What's a fair price to expect for rim repair? I really have no idea what the range even is to expect.

    Supercharger - Everett, WA

I’m curious if your search included Pierce county and south King county as well, or were you just looking in the East and North sides? Thanks for finding all these permits.

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

In that case I don't think my car has the hardware yet. Hopefully its a relatively cheap add-on, because I will definitely be getting the Tesla adapter when it comes.

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

How can I tell if my Model Y, delivered late October 2020, has the hardware required to support Tesla’s adapter?

Model Y Towing - Experiences Post here

I've had all glowingly positive interactions - and one somewhat negative interaction. The negative interaction came when Washington State was having its 110-115 degree F heat wave, and the campers were all running their AC's mid-day. Our camper section (probably 10-20 campers) kept tripping...

Model Y Towing - Experiences Post here

Autopilot can not be activated in tow mode, so it doesn’t matter. However you can still activate adaptive cruise control (speed control only) in tow mode. It’s in this mode that the car phantom breaks (in my case) when it sees the big box behind the car and gets confused.

Supercharger - Seattle, WA - NE Northgate Way

The protocol I’ve seen in California is to drape the charge cord over the top of the stall for out-of-order stalls. This is usually done by users after noticing the issue.

Model Y Towing - Experiences Post here

Depending on how wide your trailer is, the car may mistake it for a large truck and ghost break while cruise control is on. Since autopilot is not allowed in tow mode, we just cover each of the lower side cameras with tape so the car does not “see” the trailer and ghost brake. Good luck!

    Supercharger - Portland, OR

I'll take a downtown Portland charger over most other places in Portland, but since I'm not local I would only use it when passing through. Would love to spend 45 minutes walking around in downtown while the car charges.

Towing travel trailer with Model Y

Something like that could always be hard wired in. I've always wondered if when the tesla is "off" and unplugged if it still tops off its 12v battery from its big battery when the 12v battery runs low. If that were true then it would definitely be possible to run wires directly from the Tesla...

Towing travel trailer with Model Y

We replaced our 65 pound camper battery with a 0.5kwh Lithium Iron battery that weighs in at 15 pounds (and appropriate on-board camper charger replacement). The battery weight is getting close to negligable at that point, and the battery behaves like a 0.8kwh lead acid battery since Li Fe can...

Towing travel trailer with Model Y

If the outside night air is in the 30’s (F), I imagine that even the “low” setting would cause the cabin heat to turn on, right?
  42. A

Towing travel trailer with Model Y

I have not unfortunately, and we don’t currently own a voltmeter. It was strong enough however to both charge the camper battery (a lithium iron in our case) as well as power basic things like our camper lights and furnace fan.
  43. A

Towing travel trailer with Model Y

Yes it does. Unfortunately climate stays on too, which makes for an extremely inefficient way to charge the camper battery as the climate running drains the Tesla battery much faster. (But I still use this method to charge the camper battery when camping at an unserviced site).

FSD Beta Experience - Seattle WA Area

In Seattle proper we have a lot of speed bumps. FSD 10.2 (I haven't tried 10.3.1 yet) does not seem to acknowledge the speed bumps at all, and will drive through them at cruising speed. I'm guessing there just isn't an algorithm for speed bumps yet. Looking forward to being able to test in...

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

Apologies if its been covered already in this unruly thread to follow, but do we know the frequency that new cars are being added to the FSD program? I just recently got our car up to a score of 100 (as of a couple days ago) and am wondering when it will be considered for the next round of...

Pacific Northwest Owners (Seattle, Portland, or towns/cities in the region)

We’ve had no plates on the front of our cars since we moved here (Seattle proper) in 2014. We routinely drive all over the metro and state, and have never once been questioned (except for once by US Customs at the Canadian border, but they have no authority over plates enforcement as far as I...

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

Not sure if this is the right thread, but just wanted to post my experience. Prior to this weekend we had a score of 94. We live in Seattle and decided to take a trip to Canada (Vancouver) for the weekend. Once we crosssed the border into Canada, the safety score feature in my phone app...

Reboot what? Just the screen (using the two-button-hold) or the entire car (by going in the menu system and shutting down the car, etc)?

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

What is the “reboot” trick? If one realizes they screwed up they can just immediately reboot the screen (holding the two buttons on the wheel) and the car forgets about the slip-up?
