I took yesterday as an opportunity to close out some covered calls that got DITM after the hertz announcement. I had to sell 8% of core shares (tax-deffered account) to do so and it hurt. But I think I can make it back more easily with either selling new CCs (going to wait for Elon's share...
I'm currently managing some CCs from last Friday that I had to roll out to Jan 24 1650. I rolled those in to Sep 22 1200 yesterday and collected $8.50.
Right now I can roll the Sep 22 1200 to Jan 24 1750 for about even credit. So a $100 improvement from the Jan 24 in just a day plus credit
So...
Yes. I feel the pain as well. I sold 20 950cc last Friday thinking that the worst case we'd have a wall at 1000.
At this point I've just rolled them to next Friday at the same 950 strike and waiting for that one down day to roll to a better strike. But at this point in time it looks like we'll...
That looks great and definitely makes it easier to manage if things go wrong. I like TD as it's easy to move money around but that is the one feature I really want. Rolling spreads in one transaction.
Thanks for sharing.
Model Y exterior is as I expected, but I am surprised at the 7 seat option. I imagine they’ll offer a 6 seat option (2 bucket seats in the middle) in the future. If i was buying today, I’d definitely replace our 6 seater Highlander Hybrid with the Model Y.
As an investor, little disappointed...
Yesterday the price to upgrade my EAP to FSD was $6,600. Now if I try to do that it shows Full Self Driving Capability $9,200. All prices CAD.
Could be a glitch with the upgrade price ... ?
Yeah, if I login into My Tesla, I have the option to upgrade to FSD for $6,600. Which is clearly more than after delivery price originally quoted when ordering the car.
Same. Just a quick wash to get most of the stuff off the car. It doesn't come out perfect, but it's winter... and only costs $3 or $4.
Also, most coin car washes have a large pin where you can hang your mats while you spray them.
I went to Speedy Auto Glass, but the guy said that it would leave a pretty big white circle because of the UV coating. It was right in front of the driver's field of vision so I decided to just replace it.
Replaced by Tesla at the service centre. It's Tesla glass (with the "T" logo) and so far...
In case anyone's curious, I recently had the misfortune of a large chip on my windshield and needed to get it replaced.
Total cost was $987 + HST. It was broken down as $672 for parts and $315 for labor.
I'd also recommend filling it out now, but I think it's highly unlikely that you'll get your car before January. Tesla is clearly focused on U.S. deliveries before the end of the year due to tax credit reasons.
I can't find this anywhere else, so can't verify.

The "rated by Moody's" interests me. Does that mean it's possible Tesla gets an upgraded Moody's rating very soon?

I hope they discuss an extension or change to the federal EV tax credit.
I think that’s it. The window comes down farther than before. I can’t go back and check prior to the update, but I don’t recall the seal being this visible before.
I could be wrong. Perhaps someone can compare before they install the update.
Wow, that's so cool that Tesla is doing this.
For anyone on the fence, I'll just say that the LR RWD is amazing. And with snow tires, it's a beast in the snow. Much better than RWD BMW 3 Series.
The Pointe-Claire is really easy to get to from the 40 (Transcanada). When I was there in the summer, I used it twice and both times I was the only car using it amount the 20 stalls.
I was playing around with it and in order for it to work, the app needs internet access (cell or wifi) and Bluetooth connection to the car.
Is that how Tesla resolved it for Canada? That mobile app needs a Bluetooth connection to the car? Not sure if the US cars have that requirement. I recall...
I got the Sottozero II tires on 18" and noticed the same thing. I've previously used Blizzak's on BMW RWD and was a little concerned about the Pirellis because they don't seem to receive the greatest reviews.
But, no, I love them... so smooth and incredible grip. It'll be interesting to try...
I got the Tesla 18” tire package installed today. Had limited regen for my first couple of trips, but on my third trip full regen was available. Only had to drive about 20 kms.
Edited to add: I really like the Pirelli Sottozero II tires. They gripped the road very well in the light/wet snow we...
Agreed.
Looks like the lug nut cover that is on the 19s.
Maybe the full aero covers are just not a good idea in snow?
Mine are getting installed sometime next week by The Tire Storage Guys (contracted by Tesla)
Just got 42.2 and no navigate on autopilot mentioned in the release notes or available in the settings :(
@mytes very curious about your situation. Please share your version number. I wonder if they are rolling Navigate on Autopilot in Canada to just a small percentage to test.
Ordered the Maxpider's from partsengine.ca earlier today. Haven't received the backorder email yet, but I suspect it's coming. I'll wait as well.
I like the look of Tesla's mats, but the coverage is not great and they should have made the rear one piece.
Model 3 manual already states that the folding mirrors, adjustable (12 way) front seats, center console and front USB ports require the PUP package. So those are some clues on the cost savings.
In addition, new PUP orders are only receiving 1 year of Internet access and it’s presumed that...
All Model 3 orders must include PUP by default. That's the only version of the interior that they are making. The white interior is an extra cost on top of PUP.
I wouldn't count on that. I got a call 4 days before delivery (early June) and then another call 40 minutes before delivery delaying it a week.
I think they'll come fast and furious in September trying to get as many deliveries before the end of the quarter.
For Ontario, looks like AWDs will be delivered in September.
They're hiring for another delivery event at the International Centre like they did back in June for RWD.

Just to dissect Elon's tweet a little more... (and forgive me, because I'm not overly familiar with T.S. Eliot)
Elon:
In reading the Wikipedia page, it appears that T.S. Eliot had to add notes to his original poem. So what notes is Elon referring to?
