Some rumours are suggesting that all Tesla are doing is picking up the Supercharger stalls from St. Leonards and dropping them into Macquarie. If that were the case, apparently the stalls are still in St. Leonards, so no units would be at Macquarie Centre yet.

The Tesla mats that are available for us to buy also aren't the all-weather rubber material that are used on the 3D Maxpiders or (apparently) these Taptes versions.

Have these on order, just turned up in Sydney this morning awaiting customs clearance.

They don't really match production to orders (as evidenced by the number of LR AWD buyers that got offered upgrades to P- after the first shipments came through). It's more than likely to simplify options down so they don't need to swap production over to RHD for all the different interior...

It's been tested to be no where near 10% loss if it's a like for like comparison of Aero Caps vs. naked 18 inch wheels - it's closer to 3%-5% depending on driving conditions. 10% difference is in comparison to the 19 inch sports rims that used to be an option.

The aero caps are pretty lame looking. I've taken them off and added lug nut caps - much nicer underneath

I've generally been doing this to great effect... The most inefficient drive I've been on got me 184Wh/km and that was me hammering the accelerator at almost every light. Most of my daily commutes I do around 110Wh/km

Probably slight country-specific differences between AU and NZ - I think we just get the HPWC and UMC with 10a and 15a, no campervan 16a connector.

What resolution do you want out of this? Tesla took Homelink out of the production line in like April, before our orders ever opened up, and more than likely did not update the AU configuration text until after orders opened. They're free to offer you a refund on your deposit and call it a day.

I've ordered one and it was supposed to ship about 10 days ago. Got an email this week saying that the first batch (not my order number) had some minor cabling issues which were fixed. New shipping date for orders is August 26 onwards. At least they're clearer with timelines than Tesla...

If I recall correctly, there's a quoted 10% efficiency gain comparing the 18" with caps vs. sports rims.

... Unless you downgraded just to get white at a lower price, you're not saving any money by switching to a LR AWD, and you're likely to delay your delivery too...
