Just got an email from the DoT requesting more info (copies of invoices etc). I suggest those that have had this issue file a complaint. You shouldn't have to replace an airbag at ~60k miles....

Makes sense and they just authorized uber credits for me so my only complaint has turned into just a minor annoyance. Can't say other auto manufacturers will upgrade out of warranty cars for free. Kinda insane when you step back and think about it.

Sorry .. I missread your ask as when did you put in your request. I made a service request asking for the HW3 upgrade. They sent it back with a 0 estimate and the 12v battery added (which as mentioned above was 5 years old so was time anyways).

Was able to get them to give me a 0 invoice for the HW upgrade (June 2018 with EAP) but now my one day install is approaching 5 days due to firmware issues :( No loaner or uber credits. Thankfully have another car.

That's interesting the shop put on such a low load rating tire. I can't get the continental to recommend for the Tesla.

I had an out of warranty bumper swap there due to a collision and the service advisor there, Matt, is top notch. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Last word is they resigned the lease and are still scouting another permanent location somewhere.

I just looked it up and D&V Autobody would be my go to. I no longer live in the area but have used them in the past when I did and they were top notch. Last time I went they were working on Ferrari's and other high end cars and are Tesla approved.... Not sure about front bumpers but depending...

I actually contacted my local service center as I thought it was an issue with my car. They looked (and took the car in) and found no issues. I'll email that address though.

Unless range is really needed I found a wash between the range lost due to a cold battery and the power required to re-heat and charge a battery (vs just plugging in when you get home with an already pre-conditioned battery). Just my two cents.

OP any error lights on the HPWC? For instance do you see a single orange flashing light along with the streaming green lights? It's hard to see - the number of flashes indicate different things. Correct - it was never mentioned as coming soon as some Service Centers are listed. For example, New Orleans has been coming soon forever.

Just got an email that a Service Center is now open in Memphis, 5851 Advantage Cove Memphis, TN 9086 That kinda popped out of no where. Was never mentioned on the map as coming soon. Even our local mobile guy didn't know one was coming when I asked him a bit ago if one would ever open in Memphis.

Don't TPMS sensors recalibrate when they are reset? I think filling the tires to 45PSI and having a tireshop reset/relearn all the sensors should have them recalibrated for the proper altitude. If you can get a hold of a TPMS diagnostics tool you might be able to try yourself. Tesla's auto...

It's not the software but the sensor. I'm curious if just refilling them to a proper level (45PSI) and having a tire shop reset the sensors would recalibrate them. Might try one of those cheapo TPMS devices on Amazon, but unsure which ones the Tesla sensors use.

I haven't tried it personally but looks like someone has made a homebridge plugin for Tesla (if you are using homekit that is). You could set a scene and have it run every morning. Again only helpful for your morning commute. Not sure if Scenes will work remotely but they might as the API is...

Tesla's charger is designed up to 100amps. You'll be fine - besides the Model 3 will limit the charge to its max, 48 amps.

For me, EAP was one of the (many) deciding factors between the Tesla and the Bolt. The fact EAP is more useful now then when I first bought the car is just icing on the cake. I'll prob pay 5k for FSD down the line if it ever comes to fruition.
