Someone should make them!

Am I the only one who thinks that the factory 22" inch plastic wheel cover inserts are ugly? Does anyone make aftermarket ones that look a bit better? Ideally they don't make the wheel look like it's 19" like the OEM ones do.

Checking in several months later — and it's still a daily annoyance to deal with these crappy doors in the 2023 X that fight you as soon as they open 6 inches. My 2018 Model X doors worked beautifully in comparison.

I have hopes since the new vision-based park assist is actually a bit step up from post-USS parking shenanigans. Maybe Tesla is getting close? One can only hope.

I definitely accepted delivery just fine. And the app and car both work fine. When I try submitting a ticket, the app diagnoses the car and says the car is already on the latest software that’s available (which isn’t true?)

I'm stuck on 2023.27.7 since I took delivery in September. Is this normal? It checks for updates and basically says nothing is available. Meanwhile, my 2018 X has gotten several updates in the same timeframe and is on 2023.44.1. I wonder if this is related to the "delivery freeze" due to update...

With Matrix There is a setting under Controls > Service where you can Adjust Headlights. It resets their alignment and then you can use the scroll wheel on the steering to move each (L/R) headlight up or down to align them with each other and adjust light beam angle.

Yes, it’s a technology limitation. New Model X has card reader in the B pillar, and card reader/writer in the wireless phone charger. It’s a completely different vehicle than the pre-refresh X.

You can get touchscreen-capable gloves. Pretty common these days.

This is the Model X forum. Additionally, tbh, that’s a crappy (non Tesla) mod that has no tie-in to Tesla’s software, so of course it’s going to have issues, and there isn’t much we can do.

Your X looks beautiful but buying cheap stuff that’s not rated for the X’s extreme weight is kinda dicey to me TBH. Pay extra and get the better quality parts. This is a safety thing, do you really want to save $80 on a $100K car?

They’re both the same, and it’s one of the best stereo’s in the market, especially at this price point. Use it for a few months before committing to the upgrade.

Depending on which year you have, the new Model S headlights are very complex. I am not surprised it will cost that much — it's not surprising.

Funny thing is that, after owning a 6-seater X for 5 years, I've regretted it and learned that, although beautiful, it's the least practical version of the X. For optimum efficiency on the X, I'd go with the factory 20" option. Please don't put non-spec wheels on the X, unless you want your X to consume 0 Wh/mi because it'll be broken.

Yeah 2018 X doesn't have a boombox nor external speaker.

The best minimum in my opinion is no PPF! I got it for my 2018 and it was a waste of money IMO. In my 2023 I will get ceramic (because black) and that's it.

I see what you’re saying but we’re saying it’s even better to have normal manual doors! Tesla “fixed” a problem that was never broken. Imagine paying extra for something better and then you get the opposite (something worse than even manual doors).

I own a 2018 Model X and the auto doors work amazing. I just test drove and am awaiting delivery of a 2023 X and the front doors suck! I really hope this is fixed, because if not, I’d much rather open the doors of an R1S myself.

Ran into this issue yesterday on 2021.12.25.7 on a Model X 100D. Reboot did not do anything. Turns out the sensors were just dirty. Washing the car fixed it.

Nope. If you cannot wait until Feb-March then you only option is to get a used X.
