Just a follow-up re: Johnny and Calibred Customs. I thought he did a slick install and very fast. I did think it was kind of icky that he insisted I PayPal him friends and family. He really wanted cash or Venmo. Considering it is a business and he charges premium pricing, it gave me a bad feeling.

I finally got all my components: DR900S-2CH, B-112 battery, wifi hotspot. Johnny (Calibred Customs) came out and did a beautiful, clean install and showed me how to work the unit and the app. I'm very happy with his work.

Thanks for your help, @P85_DA! I spoke to Ace today and he sounds like he knows how to handle installation in Model 3.

@P85_DA, did you hardwire yours or use the Blackvue B-112? Did you use a mobile hotspot? I'm trying to figure out best practices to avoid jeopardizing the Tesla warranty.

In my case, I want the camera running 24x7. As far as we know, for the foreseeable future, the built-in cameras will only record while driving.

@DeusExMachinist, what happened? Did you get yours installed by Calibred? I'm in the process of setting a group install rate with Concours. Would be interested to know how you liked the Calibred install and what your final cost was.

Ok, maybe I'm being too fussy, but some of these look wrinkly. I guess I have it in my mind that I want it to look like the car was "born that way" with an integrated shade. A tailored fit like the roof shade that Tesla makes. Am I dreaming? Can you take a photo of your HeadShield, @Foxtrotter?

While I am hesitant to drill, isn't the bumper made of plastic (not metal)? So there wouldn't be any problem with rust, etc.
