My galaxy S8 worked about 95% of the time, sometimes with some delay. I traded up top an S10 Plus, a it's been working 100% with no delay. So I'm thinking it could be the phones as the biggest factor in how well it works with the car.

Yeah, I'm finding that resume works only sometimes. If the car doesn't go to sleep, it seems to remember. But parking for extended periods usually still loses resume for USB.

I file with TurboTax, and it's telling me that the form is not ready but it expects it will be ready January 25th. But, with this government shutdown, I wonder if that will hold true.

I'm not sure album art size affects loading. All of my album art is typically 600 x 600 and I have about 10,000 some on my USB drive. Usually loads under 20 seconds. I'm finding that sometimes, if I'm lucky, the car resumes my last played USB song!

Not sure, except maybe if you are using a USB 2.0 device, switch to a 3.0 device (higher speed). On update to v9, it still takes some initial loading for me, but it's usually available in less than 10 seconds. An hour, I really don't know why.

Before you do that, check if your mom files have APE tags. Those cause loading errors in the Model 3. You can remove them with MP3tag

I can enable shuffle through my entire USB library, it within an album. I work their was shuffle available within an artist library.

I'm finding that the new media app is not remembering the last radio station or podcast used. I haven't checked to see if it's the same with Slacker stations. So far I'm feeling media-wise, this is a significant regression.

I checked to see what you mean, and I see that you are correct when browsing through the folders. But I'm wondering if there is any particular reason you're browsing music this way? I browse my music through artist, and then albums, and if the filenames are numbered, everything is alphabetical.

Thanks for the tip; partial success for me, I think. In my case, it doesn't resume. It does appear to eliminate the need for recaching the drive contents when I get in the car, so that is a improvement. Still takes about 3 seconds for USB option to become available and to show up under "Recent."

I don't think the tagging has anything to do with it. The Model 3 also has to reload my USB drive every time I get in the car. I had a Model S loaner and it only needed to load it the first time the drive was inserted.
