No ceramic in that area for me. The problem isn't the adhesive lifting from the car. It's more of the spoiler pulling apart the double sided tape due to the spoiler's shape not being totally in line w the trunk.

My dashcam is working again. I've kept my usb stick plugged in despite it being unable to record anything after maybe a day or so of working. With the lastest update, I can confirm that it's now back to recording. Let's see how long this lasts.

Totally reasonable. Full front PPF is the most bang for your buck installation. Tint job sounds fine, because I guess you like that VLT. If I were you, and being in Fresno with your summers, I'd make sure to also tint the windshield. Use something with a high TSER

3M = good durability. high orange peel. More difficult to work with from installer point of view. May effect quality of install. Probably effects how well its wrapped in areas and frequency of finding chicken skin. Xpel has less orange peel. Durability is good. Suntek has low orange peel...

The darker you go, the browner 3M crystalline is when seen from the inside.

Yes, I had something similar happen to me. Less than 48h of ownership in and with temps in the high 90s, the AC wouldn't turn on, although the car "thought" it was on. The problem lasted a few hours and then resolved, never to recur again. I didn't take it into the shop.

Are they cutting around the emlems when applying PPF, placing PPF over emblems, or debadging, followed rebadging after PPF installation? Forgive my ignorance but I'm not sure how he does it. I'm trying to time my emblem chrome delete, PPF, and ceramic.

It has not been a problem for me at all. If being too bright is a problem, I'd imagine it being with the white dash over anything else, but even that hasn't been an issue and it could always be wrapped in that case.

Per the folks at OC Detailing, tinting the back too dark may result in too much reflection coming from the inside cabin, making it difficult to see out from the inside.
