    Schedule charging not happening.

Are you set up for Off-peak charging? When you changed departure times, was it during Off-peak times? Also, did you make changes in car or app? Car always overrides app? You need to make changes in the car.

    No Navigation, Camera, Camera

The wheel buttons only reboot the infotainment computer, not the Autopilot computer. Autopilot requires using the Service menu to do a Power Down. Read manual on how to do a full Power Down from the Service Menu

2018 Model 3 with Enhanced Autopilot does not lane change

It sounds like your Ultrasonic sensors may not be working correctly either. They are what shows the distance of objects around the car. For Summons, it will only move 30 feet forward or reverse. If you are standing beyond 30 feet it will not work in forward or reverse. You really need to be...

2018 Model 3 with Enhanced Autopilot does not lane change

Are you in EAP, with the two blue lines, when you hit turn signal? Is the other lane free to move in to? Are you holding the turn signal down at the half point, or pushing all of the way down? Any notifications as to why it is not changing lanes? For Summons, where is your car? Do you...

What does 'disconnected' actually mean on the Tesla mobile app?

Disconnected means outside of Bluetooth range. The app connects through either cell or WiFi.

Switching Between Scheduled and Scheduled Departure Leads to Errors

The car overrides the app. Make changes in the car first and then make changes in the app to agree. I have switched between SD and SC a couple of times with no issue. Always in the car.

2022 Model 3 hv battery issue Looking for Advice [salvage vehicle]

You buy a salvage vehicle at your own risk. Tesla will not allow a salvage vehicle to charge on their network to protect their network from damage. They require a full system inspection, at your expense, before allowing you to charge. It sounds like your battery was marginal and eventually...

M3 / Scheduled charge / Time of Day Utility Plan / Sentry Mode

I have had my Tesla 3 in Wilmington for 5 years. We have great Mobile Service Techs. I have only had to go to Raleigh one time in 5 years.

M3 / Scheduled charge / Time of Day Utility Plan / Sentry Mode

Tesla SC explained how and why system works. Just because it does not work the way you want it to, does not mean it is a bug that needs fixing.

Vibration at high speeds, after removing foam

Ask Tesla if they balanced tire after removing foam? If they say yes, ask if they balanced on a high speed balancing machine. Not all balancing machines are high speed.

    Scheduled Charging Is Car Awake

I don’t think so. The blue light is just an indication that a later charge has been scheduled. The car can turn on the blue light and go back to sleep. It will wake up when time to charge.

Scheduled Departure and Off Peak Charging

You need to choose Weekdays and Weekends if you want to charge on Weekends too.

In car display no longer displays Supercharging cost?

I just updated to 2023.32.6 last night and charged this morning. The supercharger cost per kWH, current kWH total and cost is displayed while charging. Once charging is complete, the kWH total disappears but total cost and cost per kWH remain.

Switch to Scheduled Charging: Options Grayed Out

If you were plugged in and scheduled for departure, I would think you you would need to unplug to end the current scheduled departure. Then set up Schedule Charged Start and then plug back in.

    Trip wh/mi and Energy App

Originally, from my understanding, the Energy Consumption Graph only showed power to the wheels. Maybe it was updated to show all power. I thought they added the Energy Trip Graph to show the additional energy uses. I obviously could be wrong. When I say my Trip consumption is usually 5-10...
  17. jdcollins5

    Trip wh/mi and Energy App

I think you may be confusing Trip Card readings with Consumption graph. The Trip Card readings show all power used when in gear. Also the Trip Graph shows all power used, breaking it down in percentage. The Consumption Graph is wheel power only. When monitoring Consumption Graph versus...

    Trip wh/mi and Energy App

The Consumption Graph only shows power to the wheels. The Trip or Rated Graph will show the total energy used.
  19. jdcollins5

    Trip wh/mi and Energy App

The total of 54.1% is the total used. 50% for driving and 4.1% for AC, accessories, etc. The 56.5 kWH sounds right. What battery do you have, SR, SR+?
  20. jdcollins5

How do get these Drive Stats to show?

Need more info of exactly what data you want to show. If your question is how to show Trip Card info displayed above, swipe left from the music card. If your question is how to access the actual trip data screen, press Settings->Trip.

Gone for two weeks - Phone Key not working

First thing I would recommend is rebooting the car.
  22. jdcollins5

Does my Model 3 need a new battery?

9% degradation (200/220 = 0.91 or 91%) is normal. You might be able to increase range miles slightly by charging from 20% to 100% to recalibrate BMS. Tesla battery warranty is greater than 30% degradation. Only you can decide if extra range miles is worth $2000.
  23. jdcollins5

App Charge Stats don't agree with my electric meter

It could be a loose connection in the electric meter. It may only be seeing 120V and not 240V.
  24. jdcollins5

Is it bad to supercharge all the time?

Yes supercharging only is not good for your battery life. It will increase degradation. You will get notifications from Tesla about supercharging too much.
  25. jdcollins5

    How to interpret Charge Cost?

Charging Stats does not include AC-> DC charging losses. I have a kWH meter on my charger circuit.
  26. jdcollins5

    How to interpret Charge Cost?

I forgot to answer your question! Sorry🤷‍♀️ To get the cost for the month of April, April 1 should be on the far left of the graph and April 30 should be on the far right. The total kWH charged and total cost will be at the top of the screen. You can only see the month of April on April...
  27. jdcollins5

    How to interpret Charge Cost?

The Charge Stats is a 30 day rolling graph. It is the sum of the last 30 days in kWH and the cost based on the cost per kWH that you enter for each location; home, supercharger, work, etc. The total kWH and cost for the last 30 days is shown at the top of the graph. You can select on each...

    Towing a Model 3 RWD

I have heard of others towing Tesla RWD behind RV’s this way. I do not see a problem with this.

Question about removing charger from car

It is normal to unlock car before removing Charger. This prevents someone removing charger while parked. It is not normal to have to open app to unlock car. Try rebooting car first. Then try rebooting phone.

Bitten by Charging Interface or Bug Again

Why did you stop the charging? When you set up Scheduled Departure, it starts charging to determine “time to charge”, then stops charging and subtracts time to charge from departure time minus 30 minutes. This determines the time to start charge.
  33. jdcollins5

Bitten by Charging Interface or Bug Again

What does your car charging screen say? The car overrides the phone app.
  34. jdcollins5

    Messages on mobile Tesla App

I do not see a way to delete Tesla emails either but the red numbers should go away after reading. If you still have red numbers, the text messages are used in the Service app and usually during a Request Service to communicate with Service Advisors.

    Is my battery dead?

The way I read the Service Report, the PTC heater had a short/ground fault and disabled the HV battery. With the HV battery disabled, the DC-DC converter was not able to charge 12V battery, resulting in failure. I do not see this as a bad design, but Protection working as it should.
  36. jdcollins5

Unable to DC fast charge - OK to AC charge - CP_a163

When the car charging system recognizes a DC charging source it bypasses the AC-DC Power Conversion Module and connects the DC directly to the battery. This bypass is performed within the Power Conversion Module. Tesla will need to determine what the problem is and repair if necessary. It...

    Is my battery dead?

The majority of your Alerts were due to 12V battery failure. 12V battery failures are not uncommon with typical life 3-5 years. Maybe the 12V battery failed in such a way that it caused the HVAC system failures. This is the first post I have seen with a 12V battery failure and a HVAC failure.
  38. jdcollins5

    Higher charge or higher discharge?

Personally I always err on the side of safety. I would charge to 100% and get there with 24%. You never know when weather can change quickly and unexpectedly.
  39. jdcollins5

    Is my battery dead?

Those are 12V battery alerts, not HV battery.
  40. jdcollins5

"Ads" on the cards... a rant

Well, so many people install new updates and never take the 10 minutes to read the Release Notes. So they have no clue what is included. So Tesla puts some recommendations to try to get some motivation to at least try some of the new features. I personally see no problem with the ads.
  41. jdcollins5

    Predicted mileage on main screen?

My arrival SOC has always been a good number, no matter the weather.

    12v Battery Alert

It should be covered under warranty.
  43. jdcollins5

    12v Battery Alert

The Tesla battery is a totally different battery than an ICE battery. It does not have a starter to crank. It only has to power up computers and close the HV battery contactor, so is much smaller in both size and power. Either way, batteries today have an average life of 3-5 years. Your lack...

    Cards Interface

I am on 2022.44.25.2. I swipe left in the middle of the media card, just a light swipe.
  45. jdcollins5

    Cards Interface

Sometimes it takes me two swipes left to bring up the Trip Card. Then movement left and right are no problem.
  46. jdcollins5

    Cards Interface

The dots are just an indication that there are 3 pages or cards available, just like most devices today. They are not meant to interact with.

    Can't Schedule Unless I Precondition?

I schedule all of the time without precondition.
  48. jdcollins5

Windshield wiper fluid only on passenger side?

Yes it should come out of each wiper. Take a needle and clean out the washer spray nozzle on the back of the wiper. If that does not work, Tesla Service advised taking the rubber hose loose at the reservoir and blowing low pressure air through the hose and nozzle.
  49. jdcollins5

Why didn't my Tesla charge last night on my scheduled departure settings?

The only problem I see is I think the Departure button should be blue to be enabled. Tap the Departure button to enable.
