It’s funny that Lutz is wrong on a topic he should know something about, the future of electric cars and their market share, but he is right about TSLA share prices having no basis in reality.
Update:
I removed the lost key from the list on the screen in my car as suggested. Thanks.
I also bought a new key online. $25.
Later I got an email from the restaurant saying that the valet found my key and they are Fed Exing it to me. Of course this is inconsistent with the story that the...
Get the LR if you are a whimp, a pansy, and aren’t a car guy. There’s nothing wrong with that.
Otherwise, go DM.
Don’t get a P. It’s too fast. It has supercar speed, but it isn’t a supercar.
Yes. I’d like it to be on par with an Audi. I got new suspension but I can’t redo the entire car and make it not tinny.
I don’t want to pay for a Taycan. Tesla better do it fast to compete with all the great car companies’ upcoming e rides.
My review:
1. I like the field of vision.
2. They made me nauseous, but that went away.
3. In the day, the view was blocked by a reflection on my 60% tinted windows from my white dash strip. I got the dash covered with a matte carbon fiber vinyl, which solved the problem. $150.
4. At...
Mine just came with no instructions at all, no paperwork at all. Weird.
I did find a customer’s video that starts with “What up my boys?”
Unprofessional in my view. Needs to improve.
Sorry, I have no input on that for you. I didn’t notice dipping and diving prior. However, since there is less side roll, I would guess there is less to and fro movement also, since it is governed by the same mechanism, no?
Don’t switch. The performance is too fast. The car can’t handle it well. It’s Ferrari fast, but it’s not a Ferrari. I never floor it anymore, now that the novelty has worn off.
If you do get it, you have to spend another $3k on MPP coilovers.
Maybe the fart porters could port some customer service improvements instead. I would have loved to just get the features and services I bought. While failing to secure that, the farts pissed me off.
I am very happy with my new Comfort Coilovers from Mountain Pass Performance and KW. VERY happy. The car is definitely more comfortable and better handling than stock.
They were installed yesterday at West End Alignment in Gardena, CA, which I also highly recommend. Chris is fanatical...

Good analysis and advice, for Vancouver. In So. Cal., my 80% is a godsend, and I can’t detect any loss of visibility, never have. I am not denying the physics, just giving my faulty human perception.
I love these SSR Reiner Type 6 Super Concave, but not even the manufacturer knows if they would fit with performance brakes. Does anyone have them on a M3P with the big brakes?

Thanks for the honest and informative review. Bottom line is that the MPP comforts make it “acceptable” but not an “Audi-level ride”. I was hoping for an Audi-level ride, but it sounds like at least the suspension won’t bug me all the time anymore.
The lack of rear vision is the biggest problem that I can’t fix. I can’t get used to it.
The seats need bigger bolsters, at least in the Performance.
It leans too much and is jittery at speed. I am getting new suspension.
We were discussing whether MPP would pay for the labor cost of fixing the squeak, at your installation shop. I haven’t seen MPP address that. All I have seen is that they are supplying the parts to fix it.
Oops! Not a good sign for your gf. Products liability law does not apply to this situation. I have been a products liability lawyer for 40 years. It would be a warranty case, express and implied, against MPP only. But don’t freak her out.
Elon is Tesla. He made an impromptu offer of $5k for my free supercharging. Tesla could have withdrawn the offer before my acceptance, but didn’t. I accepted the offer, and the deal was made. Tesla had to pay. This is not opinion.
Whether Tesla should have withdrawn the offer a.s.a.p. is a...
You are correct. The suspension is deficient, compared to something like the S5. It is floaty and jittery.
It feels unsafe at speed. I also came from a S5. We are spoiled.
I ordered new suspension, and am waiting for it. Coilovers.
I could never get the free supercharging I bought along with my car on a referral. It was all documented and confirmed but I never got it. Boy did I try.
I ultimately got $5k for giving it up though. Go figure.
Great car, horrible company.
I have no idea whether my suspension will come in a week, a month, or a year. Mountain Pass Performance did not respond to my email. Does anyone have any information? I ordered a month ago. Thanks. @MountainPass ?
