In my case, it doesn't "catch" at all until the road levels off. The only work-around so far is to let off the accelerator first (so a slight decrease in power, this a little deceleration) and THEN activating CC.

I've become halfways accustomed to it, so I usually catch it before it happens. I've found that sometimes, if I back off on the accelerator a little bit before engaging CC, it works just fine, even on a steep incline .... Usually.

For the love of God, is there any way to filter out all "articles" written by this hack? Just complete garbage. Not just the content, but the writing style. It's just bad, more like a blog than an article.

I agree. When I had the AP trial (twice), I found the TACC was annoying in 2 ways. First, when the speed is based on GPS and it's wrong (too fast in residential, too slow on secondary highway), and in the case you describe whereby a slow vehicle causes your own speed to drop at an inopportune...

That would be nice, if it actually just failed to engage, but it "turns on" without taking over until the incline decreases, at which point it begins to accelerate to the prescribed speed even if you've slowed. It becomes obviously dangerous if someone merges into your lane at a slower speed...

No Autopilot, not adaptive, (so no steering, no slowing down for slow cars or anything), just "dumb" cruise control.

It's *only* while trying to engage CC on a steep incline. It works all other cases just fine. Edit: just to be clear, if I turn on CC while driving on a level road, then encounter a steep incline, CC maintains just fine.

I confirm, I too only have "dumb" cruise, and on an incline it doesn't engage properly. It shows on-screen that cruise is on, but releasing the accelerator slows the car the same as if there was no cruise control. Then once the hill levels off it takes over. Mostly annoying, but could be one...

Actually, here in my neighborhood and on my commute, the smart cruise drives me crazy because it has the wrong speeds in the navmap, so ... That's annoying lol! Also yeah, winter driving is not great yet either. I found the Autopilot trials (I've had 2 now) to be especially bad on 23rd St...

Update: looks like I wasn't charged any money for my 30ish km of range I got testing the charger.

Charging in 1A right now, getting 23kW, my car is at 360km, and not fully warmed up, so more juice might be available to a preconditioned ride. I'll post a few pics later when I have a sec. Also, the new chargers aren't showing on the nav map yet, either.

Yeah, I skipped the FSD/Autopilot ... Just not useful enough for my taste, but so far the range has been totally fine for us. It's the only car we own, and we go to Edmonton & Kelowna from time to time. It will be really nice once these SCs are finally live.

We have no plans for any road trips any time soon, but when we do, I'll snap some photos again.

I saw it in the plugshare app awhile ago. I added a photo a few days ago when I drove by. At that time it was still fenced off.

Rolled by today, snapped a quick pic to show progress. I didn't wanna weird out the fence installers, so I only got a single shot, but it shows the plywood boxes over the "mystery" infrastructure. I'm working a lot of hours over the next month, so I might not make it to this end of town again...
