I played around with the 2020 MX on the showroom floor, and audio didn't fade during navigation anouncements. its more of an issue when you listen to the stereo at higher volume. So, looks like it is MCU2 thing across the board.

Touch the CH# number or Ch logo to initiate the direct tune. It should work.

That's great! Is your car now display the traffic lights & stop sign at least in IC? I understand it cannot stop or take action without FSD. but at least visuals are cool to have. EAP includes emergency alert anyway if you happen to run a red light. It is there even on HW2.5.

So, you had EAP with MCU1+HW2.5 and now upgraded to MCU2+HW3 without purchasing FSD? Also is ur FSD price dropped to $3K in your APP?

Also, voice commands work surprising well after 2020.24.6.11, I have MCU1 + HW2.5. I have an appointment to install HW3.0 next week.

please share an update on what was wrong with your MCU1. I have an appointment coming up in Aug to install HW3 (FSD). I have also requested the MCU2 upgrade. However, I'm not sure if I should upgrade my MCU or not. I don't have any issue with MCU1 as of now, except the usual voice...

I have received an estimate for my MX FSD retrofit. one of the line items reads "Full Self-Driving Computer and E-Speaker Retrofit". Does anyone know anything about "E-Speaker Retrofit" or received one? I never heard of it before. it appears to be bundled with Full Self-Driving HW3 upgrade.

any update after plugging into 12V socket? I recommend using a higher wattage adapter with 12V socket.

I think it's ok to pay for FSD if you don't have EAP. EAP package includes most of the features except traffic light/stop sign interaction. I hope Tesla releases more "usable" FSD features to justify the cost. Regardless, I'm onboard with FSD... :)

Got it. I also bought FSD for $3K during recent sale last month mainly to get HW3.0. I'm also interested in MCU2 upgrade. I have read people with HW2.0 getting free HW3 upgrade when they do the infotainment upgrade for $2500 without FSD, Not sure If they will do the same for HW2.5 cars.

Are you sure they including HW 3.0 as part of MCU upgrade? seems not necessary. but if they do it's a great deal. too bad, I already purchased FSD last month when it was offered at $3K.

Looks like you parked in reverse which exposes the roof sensor to a higher ceiling. if you pull forward in the garage, your top sensor will align under the garage door opener most of the time, avoiding this issue.

But I agree, there is no value proposition even at $3000 price point. All we get is a new HW (if they offer for MCU1 owners) and the ability to stop at red light/stop sign.

I don't think it's for a few people. it just happens to be a small group of owners with an EAP package on MX & MS. I have 2018 MX with EAP and FSD dropped to $3K on my account as well.

They already have the Tesla signs up on the building as of last week. looks like they will be opening soon. perhaps by end of Q1 2020 for sure..

According to VIN label on B-pillar., 45 PSI cold on all four tires (20" OEM rims)

Also passed by couple of hrs ago, There are a bunch of "wall connectors" installed outside. lights were ON and interior seems completed but no furniture.

Then, It might be software related. V10 release might not have addressed MCU1 + HW3 combo properly. They will do all they can to avoid more HW upgrades to make car FSD compliant. was your car working properly with V9 and MCU1+HW3 after upgrade?

This is good data point for us who own MCU1 + HW2.5 cars. If MCU1 is having issues supporting HW3 (FSD), then Tesla definitely need to upgrade MCU of our car (or find other solution) to make it FSD capable if purchased the FSD package.

Did anyone use Costco microfiber towel for ceramic coating? they look good quality with resonable price.

I hope they install some supercharging stall as well for quick recharge. About 10 days ago, they were duing interior drywall spackling and sanding.

Is this trunk liner stay in place as pictured above when 3rd row is up? I have 2018 MX 7 seater and considering this trunk liner due to its folding capablity.
