In my interface, I have a list of the known fields. Whenever the firmware release changes the routine looks for dropped or added fields and creates a report.
The Observed values were added by hand after I looked at the results over a period of time. Other values are quite possible depending...
Received firmware update today to v6.2-2.5.36
vehicles now returns a new field "id_s":"4622949617468527185" The existing field "id" is still there and has the same value as "id_s" Not sure what this is for.
I too am disappointed in this. My console timeline is:
June 2012 - Opportunity Console concept introduced & shown.
15Oct2013 - Placed order.
28Feb2014 - Completed online order & paid Tesla via Credit Card ($800).
They've had a long time to do this & they've failed both from production...
When the NYT article on running out of charge was topic de jour (NYT article: Stalled on the EV Highway), I posted the following and requested Tesla update the car to fix the underlying issue.
With 6.2 it looks like Tesla has provided a fix. I'm very happy to see it. Great things come with time.
My Mobileye was updated this week and is now functioning. Installer needed to change the mechanism to disable Cruise control - prior way was a message to Tesla to disable cruise control, this doesn't work now. Installer switched to tap the brake to disable Cruise Control. Only negative aspect...
I spent Thursday afternoon at my dealer and they had no luck with the update to Mobileye. Today I spent two hours at dealer [Paradyme in Sacramento, CA] and they applied the latest firmware. It fixed the the Er 20 message, but the Cruise Control interface is not functioning.
I sent a...
Update on this. I spoke with a Customer Support person at Mobileye and they are aware of the problem. On Saturday 25 Jan they will be applying a fix to a Tesla to verify that their fix operates correctly. He expects that all dealers should have access to updated firmware on Monday or shortly...
I just received and installed firmware 6.1 (2.2.113). Mobileye Display & iOS Mobileye both report an Er 20.
Found a Mobileye Error List doc with entry for Er 20 -- Error Details: "Speed signal is configured by CAN-bus but the system is not detecting the vehicle CAN- bus", Resolution: "Verify...
I have noticed the same problem with the incorrect speed displayed on the iPhone. Today I submitted the following email via the Mobileye web site with issues I've noticed:
1. Speed on iPhone reads 6-7 mph slower than Speedometer (& iPhone GPS). Is this accounted for in Headway calculations...
I've been on the waiting list for the Console forever and there is no scheduled date for the Carbon Fiber model so I took a look at an installed unit to see if this still meets my needs. I found the following:
1. I like the cup holders being low, bigger, and not in the way of the arm rests...
I have Torklift's "The Law" plate installed on my car. I always liked it that it did not obstruct the lines of the nose.
I used the using the camera mount that you can purchase from Artsci. It is meant for bottom installation and I flipped it to be mounted on the top of the license plate...
I was working on my own so I had some problems exactly replicating your work, but here is what I did:
(a) remove the grill panel that accesses the 12V battery terminals and the frunk driver side panel. AND I also pried up the right-hand side of the center section which allowed me access to...
I've also got a Sig and have been held up on the cable routing behind the nose cone. If you have any more details or pics on how you did the cable routing and hole placement I would find that very useful. Thanks.

I suspect they are using the S for testing all of the firmware & internal changes. With Tesla the paradigm had changed where alot more of the model changes and tuning are in the software. Hence fewer Mule pictures.
Service Center upgraded me to v5.12 (1.64.26) today.
Noticed that the vehicle_state command has two new returned fields:
Added Field = rhd (TRUE/FALSE)
Added Field = vehicle_name (string)
I was at the Sacramento EV Association meeting Wednesday (8 Jan) and someone (I didn't get a name) reported that permits have been recently submitted for the Supercharger at the Galleria. No word on timeframe, but this was progress since the last meeting 2 months ago.
Warning tripped and reduced charge to 30A and then it shut it off. Called Tesla service & they reviewed logs. Turned out to be the UMC cable had heat damage. Tesla provided replacement.
I use a TED 5000 with 4 sensors to monitor 2 main panels (2 x 200A service), solar generation & Tesla charging. TED 5000 is a pick finicky to set up. Once set up it has run consistently for several years.
TOU works well for me as I generate at high prices & consume at low periods. TED...

I have solar and EV rate with PG&E in Northern California. Solar coupled with EV rate is even better as you generate power & generate credits at a high price and consume it at low cost rate. This has stretched my effective solar generation capability. Nice thing is that no new meter is...
I agree with the concept. When I thought about it on my last road trip I was thinking 2/3 forward, 1/3 back. Either option would be preferable to 50/50.
I've changed the hotels I stay at since I have gotten my S to ones that either have charging capability on-site or are situated near a high-power charger. I'm willing to pay for the electricity at a reasonable rate (meaning I don't want to be held for ransom).
If you are going to install a...
From the NYT article, it is clear the author is not a EV enthusiast, but the author is part of the Mass market of car drivers.
The Mass Market doesn't want to to read manuals, they've been told the Tesla is "The Best Car in the World" and they know how to drive a car so they don't read a...
I've had solar for 3 years & just recently upgraded to TOU to take advantage of lower rates. Live in California with PG&E as power company. They installed a new meter to handle Net & TOU. Meter is a GE - see http://www.pge.com/myhome/customerservice/smartmeter/nem/
I asked the installer...
DMV sends you sticker & new registration paperwork that contains the sticker number. I suspect you could get ticketed if you display a sticker & your registration doesn't match.
Marsh St Garage is J1772 70A/208V. Garage attendant told me 1) overnight parking would be a $7.50 fee; and there is also a 70A in the metered parking area - I haven't checked it out.
Lloyds is J1772 70A/240V.
I stayed at Granada Hotel & Bistro a month ago and enjoyed it -- real convenient...
I picked a height that was easiest to plug/unplug. At 18" you have to stoop down, at 48" it felt like lifting too much, so I found what felt comfortable. Cable hanger is above plug.
Agree, I think Tesla should really think through the dash display. I'd like it tied into the Nav system and display Miles Remaining and then show the Projected, Rated and Ideal. When Nav is being used, display range with some sort of color coding scheme for each mileage range shown. (e.g...
I was experiencing this problem also & mentioned it when in Menlo Park for service for other items. They had a factory person there to demo the fix for the problem. They used my car as the demo. This fix makes sure there is good alignment between the charge port door & car sensor. [Problem...
