My neighbor as well, just goes to show how many Teslas are in this area. It makes sense for people traveling to San Diego as it at the juncture of 5, 56, and 805. Plus next to UTC which for some reason doesn't have a supercharger station yet. 🤔

Target had Escondido on their list but nobody has found permits yet.

The outlets are one of the busiest supercharger stations in the US. Also, it seems Tesla takes into account the ease of securing rights and permits heavily into their location selection process.

Highly likely as people often have to circle the lot for a while before finding a space. I hope the location is at the gas station as previously mentioned. Surprised they didn't put this at the forum (5 405 junction)

I would say that Tesla is going to do everything in their power to get you that car before the end of the year.

Tesla doesn't do model years. They upgrade continuously. And with OTA software updates, it really doesn't matter much. A Dec to January difference would be the same as a June to July difference.

According to this thread the chargers have now been fixed. San Diego Qualcomm Chargers fixed quickly, possibly thanks to a previous post. : teslamotors

I dont think it's a cash crunch. They have more chargers under construction now than ever. I think it's a part shortage. They are prioritizing parts for getting new stations online.

This is the site of the new Mission Rock development by the Giants that will break ground this winter. That entire parking area is going away and be replaced by offices, condos, and a park. I doubt they would install any chargers there before the development is finished.

Depends if they are building cars for domestic or international right now. If you are worried go to a store and see if they have something in inventory close to your spec.

I went to carmax, tesla matched by increasing their original offer by 500. Drove to the delivery center and they never even looked at it. Just took the keys and gave me my tm3. Great experience overall.

Just a reminder that Tesla does not build in sequential order. An early # vin often has a later build date.

They usually match any offer from carmax. For me it was easy.

If you drive in traffic, it's worth every penny. And in my case, it saved me from getting smashed by an SUV on my right when I was looking for traffic on my left. Always better to have 8 extra eyes.
