I rented FSD, but there are a lot of times even on the highway, I'd turn it off because of the nag. Actually, gasp, driving manually required less steering input than the bleeping nag wanted! I'd turn on cruise control, leave the rest off.

As a 4 year owner who now lives in North Chili (Hi neighbor) - set your charge limit to 80%, and keep it plugged in. It might (might) go up to say 82% or so if it warms up after it charges to 80% (seen it once), but there is no issue. A plugged in Tesla is a happy Tesla

Anyone doing the RG&E rebates? (Rochester NY) - You doing Tier 1 or 2? If Tier 2, how is it working for you?

We're losing The Spot diner - the Chargers will remain, but the diner is closing/has closed. I'm looking at (depending on the route now) - Roscoe, Then Dansville (If I go via 390) or Tully if via 81 - Both are more to have charge when I get to Rochester

With the Spot closing (boo), this is going to be a VERY popular spot

I've never been in a Schneider's - if they have food (duh) and restrooms? Could be good for some of my trips, as sometimes it is "I don't want to eat"

The problem of course is that the Bing charger has The Spot, where this one doesn't - restrooms and food make a big difference IMHO

Good one for a trip from LI to Rochester - Wintertime, Bing is a bit far, so you can do Roscoe, then Danville

It IS slightly further off the highway. That said, with the diner gone in Kingston, if I want breakfast, I'll do New Paltz as I'll sit in the diner. Thing is, these days, I'll often grab and go at the Quick Check at Kingston. Depends on if I want breakfast (I'm usually heading UP from NYC...

Even though it is in a good spot, and close to the highway, I'll probably stick with Binghamton (which is sometimes overcrowded, so I can see this). Why? It is the 1/2 way (well 1/3-2/3) point in my trips to Rochester (from Queens) and has a good diner to fuel and take care of the human...

9 Months later - still nothing. As I'm planning on leaving the area, and coming back to visit, it will be a big thing then. Right now I charge at home, so no big deal, but when I start to have to stay at hotels in the area

Man, last few times I've been there - 100% of capacity, or should I say 100% of working capacity (last 2 times there was 2 stalls down - at least). Real shame as it is a great point for anyone heading west on NY-28 (even if the Diner is gone) - If I have the time, I now stop in New Paltz, but...

Not sure if I'm in the right place. Recently, in my area, they have started the rebuild of an overpass - Yes, the overpass is still open, BUT you are no longer allowed to make a left turn onto it, and of course, navigation still wants you to make the left. Not a huge deal, follow the detour...

BTW, the reason for NOT going to Bing? On the way up, we stopped at Binghamton, and went to the Spot Diner - my wife ordered pancakes - and they came with GROSS margarine, not butter, and she wanted pancakes again

Was there for a quick "Splash and go" this weekend - on the way from Rochester to Roscoe - didn't want to stop at the Charger in Bing, and we usually come down by the back roads if the weather is nice. 7 minutes on the charger, and good to go to Roscoe, where we ate lunch
