    Steering Wheel Centered?

    No.

Suggestion: Steering Wheel Turn Signals (General)

I agree with you, but then turn signals on stalks are only on one side, so maybe that was their thinking.

    Wireless Charging Not Good

Interesting, I hope we can find out why this is.

Poll: How many are still using original 12V Battery that came with the car?

I've never heard of a warrant for any product to add an additional original warranty period after a warranty replacement was used. You would just get whatever amount of warranty was left.

    Wireless Charging Not Good

As I said I held my 13 mini up so it would be right over the charging pad and it still wouldn't charge with the Apple leather case. So I took the case off and sometimes it would and sometimes it wouldn't charge. But I can set the phone on the right pad and 9 times out of 10 it charges.

    Wireless Charging Not Good

No and none of my family or friends have iPhones.

    Auto Wipers

I'm sure software can fix the issue, just not yet and wish they used hardware that is proven to work instead, until they can get the software to work. And we should have the option not to have auto wipers or auto high beams on with Autopilot/FSD. If the computer wants the wipers or high beams...

    Steering Wheel Centered?

My steering wheel is not centered, I don't even look at the stalks to see that. As I said, I even used a yard stick to see it wasn't level with the top of the display (which is level). In addition I used another level put across the center of the two steering wheel knobs. The level on the...

    Auto Wipers

Someone should text Elon on X about this because he claimed they got it working right now, which isn't true. Mine started wiping a few times for no reason while driving on a trip over the weekend, my windshield was already clean.

    Steering Wheel Centered?

They are supposed to center the wheel. Obviously they don't do it by sight but have settings with tolerances because my new car is off too.

    Wireless Charging Not Good

Yet in my case, as I have said, even when I hold my phone in the sweet spot on the pad it's still not charging. This is mostly for the left pad because I can just place my phone in the right side and it starts to charge. I think I have to take it to a service center for them to look at. But I...

Keeps Staying the Highway Passing Lane

I use Average but it then the follow distance is too far. I have used Minimal Lane Changes and yes I know it has to be enabled at the start of every drive, but I've noticed it will still move over to the passing lane (just not as much), even when no other vehicles are around. It shouldn't...

Keeps Staying the Highway Passing Lane

The farthest left lane is always the passing lane on a highway. The cruising lane is always the farthest right lane but can include the middle lanes, if the highway has more than two lanes. I live in California and it definitely is illegal to stay in the left lane unless passing, they just...

    Auto Wipers

Someone posted on X that they were fixed and Elon responded saying how difficult it was to fix. But you are right, a rain sensor would be the real fix. I don't like that Tesla keeps removing or not using systems that have been working really well for decades and don't cost much.
  15. R

    Wireless Charging Not Good

Nothing is wrong with my phone and it's too big, I have even held it in the center of the pad and it wouldn't charge mostly on the left pad. And as I said I took the case off, even though it's a thin Apple leather case. I think it's just a weak wireless charging pad, Tesla should have done better.
  16. R

    Auto Wipers

Elon said that the AutoWipers were finally fixed yet on my drive using FSD v12.3.4 over the weekend they started wiping my clean windshield for no reason several times. Anyone else?

Keeps Staying the Highway Passing Lane

I thought a while back Tesla gave us an option in the settings to stop the car from staying in the passing lane on the highway? But now that is gone and the issue is back. My car constantly gets stuck in the passing lane and I have to initiate using the blinker to get it over into the cruising...

    Steering Wheel Centered?

Back in 2018 I had a Model 3 which was damaged when someone hit it. After the repair they did a 4 wheel alignment and when I received it I noticed the steering wheel was not centered when driving straight, it was slightly turned to the right. So I had Tesla do the alignment again to fix it...

    Wireless Charging Not Good

I've never been able to get my iPhone 13 mini to charge very often on the left spot in my 2023 Model Y Performance. And sometimes it doesn't work on the right side either. I've tried taking the case off and it doesn't help. I really wish Tesla had left holes in the pad for cables to fit...

    Following Distance Change for FSD.

I don't think that is true because when I had a 2018 Model 3 I'd see USS indications on the display when vehicles were next to me on the highway at faster speeds.
  21. R

    Following Distance Change for FSD.

I really don't like that we now can't change just the follow distance without also effecting lane changes.
  22. R

Are you satisfied with the range you get?

I don't think I used the word "harm" in my post but okay, obviously the battery will still function normally just with shorter and shorter range. So in that sense it is harming range.
  23. R

Are you satisfied with the range you get?

Do a Search on forum for a member called AAKEE, he's very knowledgable in this area and has all the numbers and graph's. Yes, Tesla says you can charge to 100% for trips this is true and if you need 100% do it. However, if battery health is your top priority then 100% degrades the battery...
  24. R

Are you satisfied with the range you get?

This actually isn't true. Going below 20% doesn't hurt Lithium Ion battery health. Going over 50-54% does, but not much unless you go over 80-90%.
  25. R

Are you satisfied with the range you get?

400 miles of range would definitely convince them. Yes, there are a lot of places to charge but charging more frequently means the trip becomes more expensive than if the car had better range and didn't need to charge so often. And again, an average EV range of 300 miles will become less with...

    Front license plate holder

I know I used to have a hard time getting the swivel to work, but then I figured it out and now have no issue doing it. I'd just keep playing with it and I'm sure you can get it to work.

The Modern Spare tire doesn't secure in the trunk, or does it?

Goobers, Yes it has become more of the norm for all auto makers not to include a spare tire or a dedicated place for a spare, but it shouldn't be and consumers shouldn't accept this practice at least not until good airless tires hit the market. Consumers have no problem paying a little extra...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Tesla really doesn't need to give out free trials for more FSD data. The free trial was solely to get people interested enough to buy or subscribe to FSD.
  29. R

The Modern Spare tire doesn't secure in the trunk, or does it?

I doubt child seat anchors are strong enough to hold a spare tire securely during an accident.
  30. R

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Exactly! Elon letting everyone try FSD 30 days for free may backfire on him, because those who have never used FSD before and then have a bad experience won't want to use it again. I have a friend who road with his brother 6 months ago who has FSD, and he didn't think it was good all. So he...

Sentry events but no footage? Without buying an external SSD

This video could have been only 5 minutes long but instead it dragged on and on and on before getting to the stuff you can use. And OMG could he have said "alright" and "right" anymore times?!
  32. R

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Used v12.3.4 for the first time since my 2023 Model Y Performance received it. I have to say I really wasn't that impressed. Yes, it's gotten a little better but the stopping before stop signs and lights with the slow creep thing takes too long when there is not cross traffic and cars are...

The Modern Spare tire doesn't secure in the trunk, or does it?

If owners can do this and fit a spare in there, you'd think Tesla would have done the same. They just need to give us a place to secure a spare tire.
  34. R

    Front license plate holder

What are you doing to try and get it off? Did you put the lock screw in and forget to take it off? Are you pressing the swivel button in the right spot?
  35. R

Are you satisfied with the range you get?

I'm not trying to be bleak but I am being realistic. And yes I know it's very rare for Tesla to replace a degraded battery pack under warranty, even though I know of a few. I'm not worried about that issue. But range is the first question non EV owners ask me. It doesn't matter to them if...

Sentry events but no footage? Without buying an external SSD

I just had another viewer issue today where the video froze and looped. And when I deleted the video it the viewer froze with two screens. This was using an SSD. Then I switched it back to the Tesla thumb drive and it did the same thing. So I did the two steering wheel thumb button reset...

Computer screen has strange images [high fidelity park assist]

There is no high fidelity and I feel that Tesla has hyped it by using those words. I want a true clear 360 camera view!
  38. R

The Modern Spare tire doesn't secure in the trunk, or does it?

I highly doubt that the weight of a small spare tire makes that much of a difference in fuel consumption. But I've seen pictures of those here that have cut out some metal in the storage compartment in the cargo area, so a spare tire could fit. They also still have a lot of room that sub trunk...

steph746, so did you get this resolved?
  40. R

The Modern Spare tire doesn't secure in the trunk, or does it?

It would only eat into the cargo sub floor if people like to fill that area up with stuff, most people don't. It would be great to have a spot for a spare tire. Years ago I had a 2001 Honda Insight and below the rear cargo area with a sub trunk and below that you moved a panel and there was a...

Are you satisfied with the range you get?

I bought a wheel package from TSportLine right after I got my Model Y. A little expensive but they came ready to mount, which me like maybe 30 minutes. While the 21" wheels that came with my Performance car look good, they are heavy and have rubber band tires (which I can't stand), and they...
  42. R

The Modern Spare tire doesn't secure in the trunk, or does it?

Really bugs me that Tesla didn't make room for a spare tire in the rear storage are, when they easily could have. People aren't always going to be in areas with cell service or want to wait for their flat to be fixed, often it's just easier to put your own spare tire on. I know it's been the...

Are you satisfied with the range you get?

When I had my 2018 LR Model 3 it got the advertised range for the first year, and obviously due to calendar aging and my charging habits it became less and less. With my 2023 Model Y Performance it gets more than the advertised range because I put an 18" wheel package on it, just to increase...

  45. R

Are you satisfied with the range you get?

Yes, I know this but Tesla using 300 miles because it's a balance between range and costs. And no, the true range of any Tesla is not 4,000 miles. You knew I was talking about miles per 100% state of charge. But I'll say it again, 400 miles is needed because EV's lose significantly more range...
  46. R

Are you satisfied with the range you get?

Yes, I know the Model S gets in the 400 mile range but that's only for the Model S Dual Motor AWD and not the norm for the other Tesla models/variants or even other EV's. If all EV's got at least 400 miles of range, you'd see a lot more ICE owners switching to an EV.

    Spare Tire

Why does China always get more features than we do in the States? Tesla is a USA company for crying out loud!
  48. R

Are you satisfied with the range you get?

I will never be satisfied with the range of any Tesla I own, until 400 miles it the norm. Doesn't matter that I don't need the range, I just don't want to charge up more frequently during long trips and end up paying more at Supercharging stations. Plus, if 400 miles becomes the norm then it...

Tiny paint scratch on my new model Y- can Tesla help with repair?

Why would you want to pay Tesla a premium to fix this? As others have said, just do it yourself with a touchup kit.
