Is there a way to manually turn on park assist?

Having the same issue.
Just got this enhanced park assist feature and have enabled it.
When it comes on its really helpful.

For example, at the shopping mall - The painted parking guides(spaces) show up and its really a great help to get you centered in the parking space - it seems pretty accurate, but.....
It doesnt always enable - seems quite hit and miss what makes it come on.
There doesnt seem a way of manually switching it on either.
Quite annoying.

Is it possible that you are just going too fast? It comes on under 8 MPH.

Nah - You can even come to a complete stop and then start creeping forward and it wont come on. Then sometimes in the same situation it will.
Likewise, you come to a stop at an intersection and it goes to that ghostly 'park assist' view.
Occasionally it decides not to.
