So Tesla refused to fix all the problems?

2 months ago I bought my blue MYLR through inventory, it was a demo with 1300 miles, it was located in Austin (Pond Springs), a little over 2hrs away(trade in). the two right wheels had a little curb rash. the service advisor was real helpful and said they can replace the wheels. there were also two deep gouges on the front bumper. he said they can replace the entire front bumper. he help me submit the service request on my app. a few weeks later got everything replaced at my nearest Service Center(Cypress) for free. While waiting for the repairs, it was taking longer than expected, they gave me a loaner older Model S so I could go get lunch and run errands.

You think that's bad....

It's been a few years ago - but ----

My wife had a car that was a couple of years old that she used for work, and I had a classic that I drove back and forth to work. We both agreed that we would sell which ever one first. She went to work and sold it a few hours after she got there. When I got home someone was waiting to look at my car and I sold it on the spot. We had no communication throughout the day. When she got home from afternoon shift I asked her where her car was. Well you know the rest of the story. We could have backed out of one of the sales, but didn't think it would be fair to the people who bought the cars. Needless to say, we had to borrow a car from my brother. He was gracious enough to lend it for a month or so - so that we could find a new car.

We are almost at that point again -- I want to buy a new Model Y. So it's her 2019 RAV4 Hybrid, or my 2021 Model Y. We'll see which one sells first, but this time we are both retired, and in constant communication.

Lesson learned.
That is funny! Any chance you have home security footage of that interaction cause we'd all love to witness that conversation 🤣🤣🤣

Interesting. I just picked up a 2024 MYP Black White interior. Ordered on a Friday, and next day picked it up locally. I was actually surprised I had zero complaints. I'm OCD...I've driven BMWs exclusively for 20yrs, not just average ones, M340i, M series, I expect it to be perfect and shouldn't think about any QC issues. This Tesla had zero problems. Gaps, windows, wheel well holder snaps, nuts, interior blah blah...I couldn't find a thing wrong with it, believer me, I tried!!!! Nothing, zero ziltch wrong with the build quality....happy to say the least...

BUT>>>>>it wanted to update to 12x and it sticks at 10% preparing the very night I got it and I have to two button reset to make it come back to life and abort the update. Tesla support is remoting into it to troubleshoot and get logs to see what is going on. I've heard a bunch of others having this issue with new Ys. Should be part of a delivery, put latest update/software on it..so if there is some glitch, they sort it out and you don't go home and have the problem. The Tesla way I guess.

Oh, and if I bring in a new car for service days or a month after I just dropped $60k, they better have a car for me, I don't care if it is a loaner, demo whatever...no Uber credits either. That isn't acceptable, you claim it is a premium brand/car, then act like it, even if it is an enterprise rental...I need wheels I have a job and commute far.

did you complete the camera calibration? Software will pause if it doesn’t see calibration complete. Car comes with factory software so they can’t update before you arrive unless they test drive it to calibrate for 20 minutes which would upset most.

A bit different to my new car acquisition! I get no notice of delivery. No chance to inspect it. Two tail lights with water in them. Complete denial that there is a problem. Supposedly then sun takes care of leaks yet the car was parked with it's back to the sun all day before I got to it.

Deny and then ignore. Rinse and repeat for a week while I patiently explain that damp tail lights are a fail in my climate with my occupation.

Fully over it now. Either they come to their senses or it's the Commerce Act coming down on them. Ignore is not allowed under NZ law.
