Tesla will replace a Model S delivered to a TMC member with a cracked A-pillar.
Matthew Cheung has been keeping the forum updated on the strange experience. He realized his car’s A-pillar was severely cracked, a major defect that was missed during the car’s build and quality checks. The crack appears to have been painted over at the factory.
Cheung said Monday that a Tesla regional service manager delivered the good news that his care will be rebuilt. “There will be some logistical details on how things will have to work with the lease, government rebate and all the stuff, but he’ll help map out what needs to be done,” Cheung wrote.
