Using FSD for 3 months - Is my experience typical?

Only way it can probably "learn" is if they update the maps. Someone told me Tesla uses 2 different maps. What you see on the screen is an adaptation of Google maps which is not what it uses for self drive ! And the way I experienced it, the maps in Tesla are outdated somewhat as compared to...

How do you listen to music?

There is a big difference between the free streaming (No streaming) vs the paid streaming account in the 2024 MY. It is definitely not the same! Yes you can pay for Spotify instead of the Tesla streaming or another streaming service but you will not get a lot of other stuff thrown in with the...

How do you listen to music?

External playlists created using iTunes or Mp3tag will work but need to be modified every time you add or delete a few songs from the SSD or Flash Drive. That's really besides the point here. The inability or Tesla to program in a solid media player is really a disgrace to a car company that...

How do you listen to music?

Its not bad. Could be so much better. Definitely not as good as the ones offered by other carmakers. I am comparing it to the Uconnect systems in Jeep. For comparison, the media player in a 2012 Jeep GC was miles better than the Media player in a 2024 MY. That's bad for a company that builds a...

Using FSD for 3 months - Is my experience typical?

FSD (Supervised) (Update) I got an email from Tesla and a reminder on the app saying the trial period of 1 month will be over as of 5/1/2024. I did not drive my car yesterday and I decided to take it to work today and the FSD was still active. I have not subscribed to the FSD! It drove from my...

Using FSD for 3 months - Is my experience typical?

1 month or less was enough to figure out that FSD is a joke, nerve wracking and waste of 8 grand or 100 per month subscription! Yes! I experienced all those problems you listed and more! Sudden slowdown when nobody else is on the road is puzzling and gives me the creeps to imagine it slowing...

Using FSD for 3 months - Is my experience typical?

Agree! 99% of my driving is simple and straightforward! Do not need FSD or even EAP ( A real pain in the you know where) going to ditch it and use it if free again!

How do you listen to music?

Streaming definitely gets the job done for the most part. It is limited to mainstream music. I listen to a lot of music that is not listed anywhere in these streaming sites and that's the reason I have to download a lot of these royalty free music and listen to it from my Iphone. Ultimately, it...

Swivel Mount - Very low ?

I honestly did not notice any offset or a significant decrease in height after I installed it. The tilt and swivel was good enough to offset any other shortcoming. It also looked like an OEM fit and everyone that has seen it thinks it came from the factory until I tell them it was a...

Swivel Mount - Very low ?

It swivels in all 4 directions equally. I find that I only need to tilt and turn it only slightly and never to the full extent. I guess it wont matter whether it is for LHD or RHD under those circumstances. I noticed the screen slightly lower when I parked my MY next to another MY at work the...

How do you listen to music?

wow! That looks very similar! The one I am familiar had a slot where you could push the record and choose tracks like u did on a cd! Pretty advanced stuff back in the day!

How do you listen to music?

Yes! Its there! But not very popular! The number of available stations has reduced by more than half! Advertisers are not interested in DAB and only a handfull of car makers include DAB receivers! It may be popular in some big cities but in good ole Greensboro, its surely dying!

How do you listen to music?

Grew up overseas where the only English programs came from the good old VOA (Voice of America), BBC Radio or Radio Australia on Short Wave radio. Used to micro tune in the 13, 16 and 19 meter bands for these stations. Best music was a daily program on Radio Australia! I remember recording the...

    Playing USB Music

Fyi! My 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee had a much better media player! The Tesla media player does not even come close! A computer on wheels? Really? Get the simple things right! Don't get me wrong! Its still the best EV by a long shot but it could have been so much better! These little shortcomings...

Using FSD for 3 months - Is my experience typical?

Like I said before they need to go back and rewrite 3000000 (Tesla says they re wrote 300000 lines of code for the latest FSD) lines of code to grow this from a 9 year old kid to a 16 year old kid driving a car!
