Tesla FSD V12 vs Mercedes Driver Assist Video by Whole Mars Catalog on YouTube.com

What I see is a comparison of MB's lane-keeping assist & cruise control vs Tesla's FSD. That is not a fair comparison. They should have used Tesla AP for this. They also should not have been using driver assistance features on roads where the user manuals explicitly say not to use them. The...

Did Tesla really lay off their entire Supercharger staff

All things come to those who fire people capriciously. He already did the same at Xitter, and clearly learned nothing from the experience. So, yeah, all the best, well-connected employees who used to work in that division of Tesla most likely already have new and more stable jobs elsewhere in...

    FSD now $8,000. Who's buying?

We (foolishly?) paid $6K for EAP, so at current prices, we're willing to pay zero more dollars to get FSD. When they simply flip the switch and give us FSD, we'll consider using it. Until then, it's EAP / NOA all the way. Alternatively, it would be fine by us if they decided to refund the...

Tesla Wall Connector - Access Control now available in app

Ours is inside our garage, so it is set to "Any Electric Vehicle," just in case we get a visitor with an EV who needs a charge while there. It's nice, however, to be able to change these settings from the app instead of having to reprogram the unit directly.

Tesla FSD Subscription Now $99/Month | TMC Podcast #62

At first, I was kinda disappointed that the price of an FSDS sub for EAP owners was still stuck at $99/mo, but after trying it for two weeks and deciding we're just not ready to depend v12.3.4 or its offspring, we're back to NOA / TACC and are much more at ease. As a result, we don't care one...

Make your robotaxi predictions for the 8/8 reveal

Based on the driving I've seen in Florida, it's way way high...approaching a few seconds. 😱

    FSD now $99 a month

Sorry, until Elon agrees to pay me $400 / hr for consulting & test driving, Tesla can drive its own development without my assistance. When I pay money, I expect a finished product, not one I have to test for them. I know, everyone will say, "Hey, it's clearly marked as 'Beta,' don't get your...

    FSD now $99 a month

Thanks for the precision. I was so busy watching the road that I never read the small print underneath the FSD Profile. So, no matter the mode, FSD v12 does jackrabbit starts, drives like a poorly trained teenager in some scenarios, and cannot be trusted. Hence, all drivers are very...

Make your robotaxi predictions for the 8/8 reveal

As things stand today, nobody should get into a robotaxi driven via the V12 stack. It's not even close to good enough for unsupervised use. Essentially, anything said on 8/8 about Tesla and robotaxis would have to be heavily forward looking and full of smoke, mirrors, and lasers to make it all...

    FSD now $99 a month

So, yeah, FSD v12 is pretty decent and far better than the terrifying performance of v11, but it still manages to scare the crap out of me and especially my primary passenger in certain scenarios. In particular, it hits an exit ramp near me at full speed, jags quickly to the right to get onto...

    FSD now $99 a month

Yep, for now it appears that owners like us who "invested" in EAP may get screwed over...again.

FSD has detailed map display. Will we loose that?

We bought EAP for the same reasons, auto lane change, auto park, etc. With the FSD 11 stack, NOA isn't really trustworthy, and we didn't get auto park until a couple of weeks ago, so it felt like we'd been scammed. Now that auto park is working again and EAP / NOA will eventually utilize the...

FSD has detailed map display. Will we loose that?

It would be nice if gullible morons like me who bought EAP could keep the extended visualization while using NOA. Just a thought.

On 8/8, if he says anything, he'll probably just announce that he meant 8/8/2088.
