    Odd behavior with my Powerwall+

Also my Powerwall plus separately lists the inverter ratings: Nominal grid voltage (input / output): 208VAC / 240VAC Grid voltage Range: 183-228.8VAC / 211.2 - 264VAC Maximum Continuous Output Power On-Grid 6.6kVa / 7.6kVa ... etc

    Odd behavior with my Powerwall+

Also I live in Ohio, my utility is The Illuminating Company. I used to be on a transformer I shared with my neighbor. The transformers are still on the pole, but because we had so many transformers blowing up the power company rewired my street some years ago to be directly off a 240V line on...

    Odd behavior with my Powerwall+

    Thanks for the reply! My Powerwall lists the following for AC input/output: Nominal Voltage -- 100 / 120 / 200 / 208 / 220 / 230 / 240 Voltage Range & Maximum Continuous Current : 90-110 VAC 25A 114-126 VAC 24A 180-220 VAC 25A 198-220 VAC 24A 198-242 VAC 25A 207-253 VAC 25A...

    Odd behavior with my Powerwall+

Hi, I've had a Powerwall Plus installed with 8.6kW peak of solar since November. I've noticed a problem from time to time, I've contacted both the installer and Tesla and so far it's not resolved, it still happens. The problem is that, from time to time, my battery temporarily stops charging...

Does a battery ever have a positive ROI with net metering

I have dollar for dollar net metering but not kWh for kWh. I have to buy at a rate roughly double what I can sell for (about 14¢ vs 6.5¢) because my utility pays me only the generation fee, not the transmission fees when I export. What this means is that there is some economic benefit for my...

    04.08.2024 - Solar output... Ooops, I forgot :)

I live in totality zone. Production dropped to 0.0kW, no fooling.

    Netzero App

Nice touch labeling eclipse time in the daily logs and showing the forecast icon as the sun in totality!

    Netzero App

I have the Netzero app, and I'm a bit confused how to use the diagnostics. I understand I need to login to my gateway. The app asks me for my gateway password and the IP address. I give it both but it says it cannot connect. I know this works because I also use the Powerwall Dashboard and it...

    Netzero App

My automation screen says I've not given myself the ability to change powerwall settings, only read data. How do I change this so I can use automations?

    Tesla App visuals

When you do this, do you not lose the ability to manage the wall connector separately? There's are some menus on that separate connector page I used to have that would let me change HPWC settings like Wifi or power sharing.

Tesla App not recognizing vehicle charging data

This happens to me too sometimes, I think it's just a bug. Often it will be correct, only to change later.

    Powerwall Reset During Grid Outage

You say you have 5.3kW of solar roof and 5.2kW of other PV, are these connected as strings to inverters? Do you have microinverters? I ask because it's the inverter's responsibility to move the string-connected PV to a low power point on their I-V curve when the battery starts getting full...

Questions on Tesla Solar Inverter vs. Enphase Microinverters

The cost of solar panels have fallen so much that microinverters now represent a significant part of the solar install. If you have little shading (true for me), then an inverter with 4 MPPT string trackers is often a way easier install and fewer materials. Microinverters are also another item...

Charge on solar with multiple vehicles

Hi, Last Saturday I took delivery of a model Y, so I now have two Tesla EVs along with solar and a Powerwall Plus. One nice thing about this is, since my utility sells me one kWhr for 14¢ yet only buys my excess for 6.5¢ or so, I can now dump extra electricity into my cars once my Powerwall...

    Supporting a second PW2

Why not just place it on some bricks, and then attach it to the wood to prevent tipping? This is what my installer did in my basement, because they did not want to risk mounting it to a wall and have problems later if they come to find there was a framing problem. It's less risky.
