FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Took my first drive on 12.3.6. Did a 40 some mile loop that has interesting problems. Also added the post office at the beginning. The only time that I had to take over. It tried to go in the out driveway. You know how post offices are! On a highway on version 11 (I'm assuming it's that since...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Just for my clarity please. This is with nav set to go someplace? I've just barely downloaded 12 so haven't had a chance to even try it yet. With 11 if you don't have the navs set it does stupid stuff like that all the time. Pretty useless actually! So, just trying to make sure I understand...

How long between FSD computer update and download of version 12

May 2018 x100d is just now upgrading to 2024.14.8. there is hope! Apparently I'm getting FSD 12.3.6 with it.

Why no FSD (supervised) for those cars stuck on software branch 2024.8.9?

2018 model x, still on 2024.8.9. paid the two grand for FSD on April 30th. Still waiting! Not on tesla-fi. Does my vintage and model have a chance?

Bought a non-running Tesla Model S at auction - Have questions

Once the government paperwork hits the system they'll shut off your supercharging. It happens in the middle of trips for people, like my brother. You have to pay them to do an inspection and then they will, usually, reinstate supercharging.

Are you still on the original battery pack with your 2012-2015 Model S?

I could be mistaken. I do remember someone saying that the 40s could never be upgraded to supercharging, and I thought that was the reason given. Obviously they could have been mistaken. But, now my curiosity is piqued!

Are you still on the original battery pack with your 2012-2015 Model S?

I can't imagine them lying about that. At one point the VIN did give the battery type, if I recall correctly. You'd have to find an old VIN decoder to figure that out. I think I recollect that the 40s were made with thinner cables from the charge port down to the battery chargers, or some such...

    MCU2 upgrade for AP1 cost?

With labor. Ask, probably someone clicked the wrong descriptor.

How long between FSD computer update and download of version 12

11.1 - and you are correct, it also labels it 2024.8.9 with the requisite long set of digits after that. I guess I assumed that us lowly Navigate on Autopilot people were relegated to an ancient version and I would magically get the new version once I purchased FSD and got the hardware upgrade...

How long between FSD computer update and download of version 12

Since they dropped the price to 2K for those of us with navigate on auto pilot, I went ahead and took the plunge. They upgraded the computer over a week ago, still on version 11. Anyone else have experience in this? How patient do I have to be?

Difficult choice on 2 used model x!

The Raven has a ton of improvements, especially the adaptive air suspension. I wouldn't even consider the 2018 with that available, and I own one! The only advantage is the warranty, so you'll have to decide how risk adverse you are. Enjoy!

    Supercharger - Henryetta, OK

Almost no one uses the supercharger in catoosa, at the hard Rock casino. The alternative that's right there is much, much cheaper. I wonder if Musk's decision is really in response to the competition. Of course, they're willing to take a loss now to try to steal business from tesla. If Tesla was...

What version of Used Model X would you recommend?

With 2018 model X. We like it. We've only owned a model s, December 2014, and a Kia soul Ev. So, for whatever it's worth. Also, if you have enhanced you can now get the full self-driving for only 2K more. I think that's so good deal. Already ordered it for mine. (Bought it, and set up a service...

The ultimate demand lever and consumer confidence booster?

Definitely agree with that! Sadly, it feels like that has only a slightly better chance of happening than my idea. - Elon Musk giving away over $200 million for Tesla stock?! - Spending about the same to fix service? I wonder which would make the news. It's a crazy world we live in!
