    High mileage check-in

Back in early February, I came home one night on vapors, -1.2%. I just realized looking at the above image that the SOC is showing 67% when I set it for 60%. It was cold when I started charging, below freezing, and it's warmer the next day, and so the SOC is up from 60%. I've posted numerous...

    High Mileage Model 3

I have 67k on mine and it seems fairly new to me still. Carvana says mine is worth $16.6k which is dirt cheap, considering it's perfect and has FSD paid for. I would check for the usual wear issues with any used vehicle. Check the upper control arms aren't squeaking, by pressing down on each...

Lining up to back into a charging space?

I think your in-car cam is correct. The right side of your image is larger than the left, so you've made the space to the line, larger on the right, relative to the left. I've restitched your photos, but it's not perfect because your angle to the car is not the same, but this is a better...

    High mileage check-in

Time to trot out my car's data. That's SMT in upper right, Recurrent on right and Stats on lower left. All showing I have the original EPA range of 310mi after 67k miles and 5yrs 8months. Yes, I supercharge, that's the DC Charge total, or about 20% of my kWh are from supercharging. My battery...

    Non random battery drain

So, battery voltage discharge curves are very flat. It doesn't take much change in measured voltage for the SOC to be very different. Notice that temperature has an effect upon SOC as well. This example is for large temperature differences, but still, you can imagine how small temperature...

Lining up to back into a charging space?

The key is to get into this position: The video has the car starting way out here, then turning the wheels, and beginning to back up. To me, that's way too far. He didn't need to go 4ft past the first car. Just think where your car needs to be to meet the apex of that white line in the first...

So... this happened. Just wanted to vent [vehicle accident]

I think I get what happened. You're driving in the right lane, on the main road, and not on the side road that's merging. The other vehicle is entering from the gas station and he doesn't turn sharply and hits you in the door. It looks a bit like a sideswipe, but the other driver's front...

Safety measures from people stealing battery & other components

I'd be more worried about them trying to steal the car, so turn on Pin-to-drive.

Smelly stinky socks / mold in Model 3 AC

It's the start of the 6th summer for my Model 3, and I've finally gotten the musty smell in the cabin. I changed the filters once, several years ago, to a set that looked identical to OEM. I didn't use any coil spray back then. So, a week ago, I changed my filters again, with a set that also...

Safety measures from people stealing battery & other components

How odd, seems so specific. You'd think thieves would go for low-hanging fruit, like catalytic converters or wheels/tires. Why would they target EVs? What could they remove, that is easy, and worth something on the resale market? How easy is it to remove your lights? Your mobile charger? Not...

14.9 update and still no FSD trail

Do you have the necessary hardware?

    Front Undertray

I'd just glue it back and hold it with tape until it dried! That's me, though.

    Model 3 pothole damage

Get yourself a metal undertray like the one MountainPass sells, the SmashMe. It's safer than any plastic undertray. Nothing else looks hit except for the anti-roll bar. If you know someone at a tire or suspension shop, maybe you can have them put it up on a lift so you can take a closer look.

Auto park in parking garage contacted trunk with overhanging ledge

A bit of an unusual situation. The garage should have painted that edge yellow. I mean seriously, a human would miss that too!
