Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

This is how much roll my Plaid with MPP solid bushings takes on 285 RE-71RS 200TW AutoX tires.

Honestly looks super good. Mine is white with the tempest painted in gloss black. Looks mean, the stance looks really wide. Those pics were before my alignment update (more camber) and additional lowering in front.

Talking about wheels tire efficiency, I have an example with huge impact on my Plaid... - 255/45-19 and 285/40-19 Continental Procontact RX with Tempest without aero covers and 20mm Bonoss spacers all around and lowering links at -6 = 260Wh/mi average on my daily work commute - T-Sportline TSF...

The M3 Competition Xdrive is 4000Lbs or close and carries 275 front and 285 rear. 4000 Lbs is heavy..

I listened to his driving comments and his comments made total sense vs my opinion of previous Model 3. Previous one needed square 265 or 275 to have enough front grip for any kind of track/AutoX driving. Suspension/weight is the same minus shocks on this one, so this remark with stay true

There was other runs on dry pavement and it was the same 11.0@123 In perfect conditions, probably will do 10.8s (like on a strip)@124mph Kyle was saying car is under tired in the front which it has to be with only 235 like the old one there. Was also saying bushing were a little too soft for a...

Your Z was probably an auto and stock suspension. Because I drove the top hot hatches from Europe/JP (Renault Megane 3 RS 275 CUP, Type R, 147 GTA etc ) for several years and were miles better than a Mini and a M7 Z is miles ahead in all departments including fun.

Not this much. It shows 1.2G acceleratuing and braking which is normal for a Plaid on good tires. In corners the sustained G's are 1.2G. The peaks at 1.6G are really short and not "real" load, just sustained for a few tenth during a quick change of direction

Just for info, the Plaid turns extremely well and is in fact considerably faster than a Model 3 P even on tight AutoX. With my previous M3 with full coilvers, MPP suspensions, and 200TW I was 1.5s behind the GT3 in raw. With the Plaid we are trading blows and my Plaid is nearly stock, and...

I did a full custom alignment and installed the rear XP12 Did local AutoX event today and the car was really good. Way faster than my previous Model 3. I did left foot braking the whole day and man it makes a difference on this car... The brakes were amazing with the XP12 pads F/R I fought...
